It was a bunch of hurried changes for the sake of balance unfortunately. If there's ever another iteration of this, hopefully it'll be better thought out than this >_>

Re: TWG XCVII: The Flame War (Real Version)

Goddammit why did they burn the library ;_; Now I can't read 1984 anymore ;_;. Mr. Cubone, halp ;_; I need drunken bar stories.

Serious now: Since netjet has died and pretty much cleared V & Mr. Cubone, Here's what I compiled so far from the reads (not revealing Cop, Firefighter, or roleblocker. Just a simple town/arson thing)

      1. j-rodd123
      2. yo man im awesome
      3. cedolad
      4. Xiz
      5. James May
      6. Viccica
      7. Netjet! (deddo, confirmed)
      8. dAnceguy117
      9. Zoshi/Sage (going by Zoshi posts)
      10. Krauthammer
      11. Vendetta21
      12. Tps222

Reason for the yellows is that I'm entirely not too sure about the alignments yet. But here's what I can say. During the lynch of Netjet, pretty much what sparked his demise was when pedolad mentioned (but not voted) that he wasn't being active at all and occasionally joked around with the posts UNTIL that point. It was then that Mr. Cubone pointed out that Netjet had a complete 180 when he was called out and tried to look helpful, which was revealed after I had asked him why he voted for Netjet.

Furthermore, when V gave his analysis on both pedolad and Netjet, V had further supplemented the main reason that Mr. Cubone had pointed out on this post:

Every single TWG is different because sometimes you have someone like me who is a repugnant asshole and makes people who are emotionally sensitive cower. And sometimes you have people like fiction who are mercurial and none of their questions make sense but a wolf feels like there's some sort of trick in there somewhere. And sometimes you have a player like manti who you don't see him saying anything but the fact that you know he's heavily analyzing everything you say makes you worried.

The crowd makes the TWG is what I'm saying, so you can never go into a game having a fully fleshed out gameplan of how you are supposed to behave. If the crowd is collectively stupid and has a learning disability a good wolf should pick up on that and fulfill the role of a leader. If the crowd is rambunctious and fighting a lot a good wolf tries to be a calm and centered diplomat. If the entire crowd is quiet a good wolf needs to pretend to promote activity.

And all of that is extremely similar to what humans do, the only difference is that wolves have to go through quite a few more thought experiments in their head to reach the same conclusion that blossoms naturally for humans, and as such you can anticipate wolves in the early game to be more fluid in their tone and behavior because they are trying to feel out the town.

It was never that netjet wasn't posting, it's that his contributions through day one were all jokes and fluff, and as soon as someone called him out on it he suddenly changed his tone entirely and began actively trying to appear helpful. Nothing he's posted has been helpful, so maybe he's stupid or something. But the thread that ties behavior 1 and behavior 2 together is the phrase "actively trying to appear".
Of course with that, it pretty much nailed Netjet in his own coffin.

Now what I do want to show is that in the entire phase, only 3 people did not cast their votes. They are: Viccica, Kraut, and Zoshi (who unvoted quickly after voted for pedolad and that was it). Now obviously, we can say for certain that Zoshi has left Sage in a pit of fire with this post, followed by tps' & V's post:

it was somewhere around the time he didn't vote for netjet and instead focused on danceguy. that was weird. why did he do that?

why did dance vote for netjet with his huge level of confidence in kraut?

      the mysteries abound
This intrigued me because of the fact that Zoshi haven't popped up in that entire phase EXCEPT for when he voted for pedolad & unvoted pedolad. So we can rule that UTR was involved since Zoshi did not cover the reason for his inactivity and the ones who pushed those buttons were both tps & V. As for V's question on why Pete voted for netjet when he had the stakes on kraut? It's as he said: the logic behind V's & Cubone's voting were spot-on. and nothing could have virtually gone wrong if their case was correct (which in this case it was). Because if Netjet was indeed lynched and flipped town, we would be on V's & Cubone's case instead of someone else.

Now, for Viccica, although she had only stated one post in that entire phase, she had a reason for her inactivity: Work and busy schedule. Which is fine because life gets in the way a lot. So she's leaning towards town for the moment UNTIL there is something that can be put up against her.

Now then, this leaves mainly Zoshi and kraut. What is it that those two have in common? Well, they didn't place a vote at all. Moreso that Kraut, who was more active than the two, didn't even place his vote at all throughout the duration of the phase. I mean, he was going at it with pete for a while, and he had pointed out that he thought pete was an arson when he was asked who he thought was town and who was arson, he mentioned that both zoshi and pete are arsons. So then, why didn't he vote for either of them? The only saving grace that kraut has is on V's post (the same one that has the vote on netjet) which is:

Kraut would be a terrible poker player because every time he wears an emotion as an affectation it is just fucking clunky and awkward (sorry bro) and I'm not getting that from him this game. He may be bad at articulating himself and bad at hunting, but that doesn't look like a wolfkraut to me.
That essentially nailed it. Of course we all still have our suspicions on Kraut but his posts aren't ~flowery~ and doesn't convey with the emotional aspect of his style. And of course if anyone was in the first C9++ game would have obviously seen the amount of fluff that he has put on before he accidentally killed himself by using the forbidden colour.

So with that said, Sage has a lot of work to do before he can clear himself, that is if he doesn't screw up. I'll be waiting for Sage to pull up his analysis on everyone so far and the game up to now. Also, I would like to point out the irony behind Zoshi requesting to replace and specifically requesting Sage to replace him instead of giving another person a chance to join in. It's nothing too major just something to note on that I found a bit hilarious.

But, I do have a slight feeling on who could be the firefighter...But I want to hold back on that until we get the roleblocker out of here.
      bananas

to be fair to Zoshi, I suggested Sage first.

thanks for the reads list James. good way to kick off Day 2.

I don't personally find Kraut to be very suspicious. Any reason for your vote, yoman?
            Dear sirs,
One of my checks was returned marked "insufficient funds".

In view of current events in the banking market, does that refer to me or to you?

just to get people talking, there isn't any suspicious really beyond the basic suspicious that's given to every player.

As far as suspicions go, I think investigation into Sage is spot on. One reason being that typically normal humans don't bother finding a replacement. An arsonist missing would make or break the game at this point.

People that I don't think we've heard much from recently (myself included, sorry) are Jrodd, Sage, and Kraut, really.

One other thing is that Sage wasn't requested by Zoshi, Dance mentioned him and Zoshi contacted him. It's not damned or saving, just want to clarify that.
