In other news, I'd just like to bring this fun little community builder to everyone's attention. The website Miniville allows communities to build their own city. <a href="/profile/Chromer">Chromer</a> created <a href="http://synthlight.miniville.fr">Synthlight City</a>. By clicking on that link, you'll add +1 to the city's population, making the overall landscape of our land grow bigger. BUT! Having the biggest population isn't the only factor. We also have to have people who increase our <a href="http://synthlight.miniville.fr/tra">transit</a>, <a href="http://synthlight.miniville.fr/ind">industry</a>, <a href="http://synthlight.miniville.fr/env">environment</a>, <a href="http://synthlight.miniville.fr/sec">security</a>, and eventually commerce (but we haven't unlocked that yet). We have a population of almost 900 currently, with 100% transit and 0% pollution, crime, and lack of jobs. You can click on 1 link per IP every day, with it re-setting at midnight French time (6pm EST). Check out our skyscrapers!

I would have most of ffr focus on just population, we can manage the cleanup. Here is the paragraph I would use. Let me know anyone if you disagree.

Im cool with it, set up the proxies to clean up the mess

I would like to see an invitation to join the teams, try and get more then just a couple of once off clicks.

The only problem I have with this is that it only links the the population link. And if hundreds of people click on only population, the negative stats will shoot up REALLY high, and will be pretty hard to maintain. I think there should be a link to population, security, environment, transport, and commerce in the news story.

That is how we want it. We have people prepared with proxies to handle any population boost the front page brings. This is one of the main reasons behind Alain's efforts to assemble a working list.

Anyone want to help me get some work done with proxies? I really don't know what or how to use them.

Go to http://proxy.org/ and put a link eg. http://synthlight.miniville.fr/sec into the "Enter a URL to visit:" form.

With *** random proxy *** selected click go. It will open up a random proxy website. Proxy websites are websites that let you surf the net through their website meaning the sites you visit are through a different IP address. This lets you get pass website blockers at school etc...

In the proxy site put the http://synthlight.miniville.fr/sec into their url form box and click go or surf or w/ever. It should open up the site inside there site and count your vote. If you get the message "Ce site nécessite JavaScript pour fonctionner. Veuillez patienter quelques instants..." Then you need uncheck a box called "Remove Scripts" or "Disable Javascript" and click surf agian.

If the site dosent have either of those options and it dosent work move on and try a different site.

For extra credit create a list of proxy sites that work and send them to alainbryden.

Edit: Hope this helps let me know if theres something thats not clicking. If someone could improve this we could put the guide on the first post if lots of people dont understand/are curious.

so after my computer got locked up for an hour processing 60 flash-flaunting web pages, I decided to add a "do you wish to load the next 10" feature.

Or you could just disable flash apps with the option in your browser, but I suppose that would be inconvenient, and your method is better anyways.

Any word on when that newspost will go up?

So some of you are making a list of working proxies for alain...why not post them here as well? It's annoying having to go through the list randomly and run into rons of links that don't work. D:
