How exactly is that supposed to apply to me? I don’t play the way you play, so what I do as any role is going to be different from yours.
I don’t think I ever said that I never wanted a human to die; that’s inevitable. I’m not that naïve; if that is what you got out of it, I think I need to explain my reasoning in more detail.
All I stated was that a blind Night 1 vigi was ass in my opinion, and I didn’t mean to present that statement as anything other than my opinion. My reasoning was, since it would have been made on next to no information, a vigi N1 would’ve helped the wolves more than town and would have made the holder of the vigi very suspicious, to the possible point that tracker would come out thinking he got a wolf. If said person was a human, as you would have liked it, that would have been very, very bad. We would’ve both outed our tracker and had a 75% chance of essentially giving the wolves a free wolfing. It wasn’t just a matter of “more humans dying”, it was a matter of the Tracker dying with them. The tracker is the most powerful thing in this game. It is THE only thing making these power post-claims in any way reliable, and prevents wolves from just going ham on us if/when they get the orbs.
At the time, I did not see how that situation would go differently or resolve to something favorable to the humans, so I advocated against it, as several others began to do earlier. Not for the EXACT same reasons, of course, but in concord with mine. Considering the above, it seemed unconscionable for you to advertise N1 vigi as a proper human action. If you had given me a compelling counter-argument that the N1 vigi would turn out better for us, I might have changed my mind, but there was nothing that really convinced me that Night.
What bothers me about your play is that on page 8, soon after anything comes up against your N1 vigi plan, you immediately retract it. It seems to me that if that you actually believed it was a viable thing for the humans to do, you would have defended it somewhat, or at least explained your reasoning. But you do nothing of the sort. And then later in the Night you go right back to it. I’ve seen this happen before, and it usually means that a wolf is trying to get town points by concord with the most common ideas/opinions, before trying to go back and justify the tactic. Of course, I can’t rule out the possibility of you idea baiting the wolves into trying such a tactic, but again, that’s kind of moot because it obv. didn’t work. And I dunno, the long term survival of the Tracker could make all the difference in this game. Even if we did catch a wolf out of that deal, I’m not sure our Tracker would have been an equitable trade that early in the game.
Sitting there using the most obvious orb strategy and acting like you're protecting humans is actually wolfy to me.
You have a good point. This is something that humans have to be wary of – people just cruising through the game without anything to add, just buddying up and/or aligning with trusted people to get them through the game. It’s a classic wolf game, but nothing that I intended to play. Remember that I had very limited access to the game recently, which caused me to fall way behind on the thread, and be out of the IM/VChat loop…so I literally had nothing to add. I don’t intend on letting this kind of thing happen again. If it does, I will seek a replacement.
To clarify on the strategy issue: I understand where you’re coming from, I think, but your claim that the vigi power here is “equivalent to a seering”…I don’t see how that’s supposed to be. It only is if we get a wolf. It’s a bit better actually, since it saves us a lynch we can use on another suspect. But, again, missing a wolf pretty much gives them a free kill, so I don’t see the reasoning. Plus, the less time/data a potential vigier has, the more likely they are to make a wrong decision. Therefore, I stand by my position.
You seem to think it’s of the highest importance that items cycle as much as possible; we might just have to agree to disagree on that. I don’t see anything inherent in item distribution that favors the town. I think we need to find a balance between info gathering and item use/cycling, as much as is possible.
That's not all though, calling someone's posts mostly fluff shows you're kind of out of sync with the thread, especially since that person offered the orb strategy and just was making a case for a lynch against a new person as opposed to adding just a +1.
Please specify who you are talking about. If it’s Xiz, I fully acknowledge in my last post that he has been stepping up and providing some actual content of his own during this Day. Read it again.
I have been talking outside the thread, although not nearly as much as I should, I grant. I’ll contribute my fair share, when I actually have some fucking time to contribute. I had to work over the past few days and other things such as spontaneous family “events” and sleep difficulties have not been leaving me time at all. You would know that if you read earlier posts. To me it just seems like you’re taking what you want out of them.
If my explanations are not good enough for you, then so be it. I’m not going to try to convince you of real life events that you have no connection to.
From what I’ve seen you have a tendency to do that. And some points you raise against me are fair, but others seem kind of weak or cherry-picked. I know it’s pretty easy to get excited about the right game, but being overzealous has its drawbacks. Be sure to take a step back once in a while and come back to look at things with some new eyes. Keeping any one “pet theory” can blind you to anything else.
And of course, I do feel really inadequate, and I really wasn’t sure about playing this game and blah blah. Too bad for me. I signed up for this game and now I have to play it to the fullest, so you’ll hear no more whining from me.
I gots tha purple yo.
each point will reply to each paragraph
a) it applies to you because I find it wolfy, it's not incriminating it just makes me lean wolf since it just feels so blah. great adjective use, I know.
b) no it's the fact you're acting as if I WANT to kill humans, and are acting as if killing a human is the end of the world.
c) this paragraph is fair.
d)/e) here is where you are completely mistaken. go read my original plan, I was being freeflowy and posting what came to my head. I listed how both options need to be weighed and I stated that this night phase coming up is the deadline for its use. I stand by that, I did not immediately retract anything seeing as my plan also leaned towards tonight use. this is just false by you
other points - no I do not want to cycle them as much as possible, but getting through a cycle early seems ideal. going back to reread the thread I already saw several posts by xiz asking to seer him if he doesn't die. the thing is, that can't happen for AT LEAST 2 night phases.
I was talking about me, how you called my posts fluff, it was weird seeing as I offered orb strategy and started leading a new lynch while you were busy.
I need to completely redo my list.
IN OTHER NEWS, Kevin is a lot more suspicious to me now, mainly because he voted for BDN despite feeling the TPS is more wolfy.
BDN, while not being as wolfy to me as TPS, I feel will be more detrimental in the thread than TPS. Like I said in my post, I would at least like to get some info that I imagine he's acquired before voting/lynching him. BDN is wolfy AND he doesn't bring anything to the table imo, so I find him a more suitable Day 1 lynch.

Tps Wolfiest person on the list for me. Night 1, you "required" that every single person playing the game MUST contact you, or better have a damn good reason for not doing so. It's a little weird that you're so incessant on talking to literally everyone and getting info from them on the first phase of the game, but sure that's fine, I won't complain about that. What really bothers me (which was something I hadn't realized until it was pointed out in Google Hangouts) is your complete and utter lack of followup. Who did you talk to? What did they say? These are relevant things that we all want to see, and it looks like you're withholding the info from the public. Looks to me like you just wanted to look really active and participate a lot out of the thread, collect information for your wolf team, and then conveniently drop off the world. I don't want you lynched right now, because I want that information first. D2 or 3 lynch for you. BDN Like I just said in my last post, I agree with Jrodd. Your idea, while not wrong, takes almost no thinking, you're acting like it's game over if we lose even 1 human, and you haven't really talked out of the thread at all. I do not like the rust excuse, it's almost entirely wolf to me. Would like you lynched D1. Xiz You've left me really confused this game. I know you've made it clear that you change your style each game to essentially remove any kind of meta, but even still, the posting you've done this game comes off as so strange. You just recently said you've removed your rickroll-like posting this game, and that's just confusing me further, because i still find your posting off to me. Your shitfest with Jrodd upping you and Jrodd's postcount came off as especially weird, and I've come to find in my head that either 1 or both of you are wolves. Pretty sure I want you lynched after D1, since you can still be useful later in the phases. RSD As pointed out earlier, your dramatic post quality shift is indeed strange. You were on Google Hangout's last night, and you said (paraphrased) that you like to remain as neutral as possible, so that there is little to no difference between your wolf and human game. First of all, I can only see that way of thinking benefiting a wolf. Second, I can tell from your posting that you're trying to stay neutral, but it gives off wolfiness to me. Wouldn't mind lynching you. Jrodd You're like Xiz; I can't put my finger on it, but I feel some pretty wolf vibes coming from you. Also, that long shitfit with Xiz left me with the thought that you two are a w/w combo, like you did with TPS in the Flame War. Unlikely, but I wouldn't at all be surprised. One or both of you have got to be wolves imo. Willing to lynch you, but not D1. Silvuh Still a random, I can see him going either way. I would guess town though. Charu Same as Silvuh Cedo Totally Absent, nothing to work with NetJet I personally don't doubt his read. Not really following the suspicion on him either. sunfan ^ Krauthammer
wat? you just agreed with two posts I made things and voted with someone I claimed was wolfy. Then you say you're willing to lynch me but not right now? What is the point of a statement like that, there is none, so if you're a wolf and my name is thrown out you can just hop on whenever you want?
TPS-wolfiest person on your list, you are voting BDN. you're all over the place
BDN, while not being as wolfy to me as TPS, I feel will be more detrimental in the thread than TPS. oh I guess that's a reasonable explanation. but if you have enough confidence to say someone is the wolfiest, you really need to vote for them, this is just flaky and if you are a human can easily be used against you. def not a human lean for you that's for sure
the one thing i've been revisiting all day that I brought up earlier, is that I still can't wrap my head around netjet seering thesunfan. I really don't believe this at all to be honest

So because you're wolfy to me, I can't agree with what you write? I know you're fully aware of wolves' ability to attack eachother in-thread to a) eliminate connections with eachother, or b) clear one/the other. I think that's what you're trying to pull here, and I think there's a good chance you and BDN could be partners, so I think I should use the points you made, which were valid, and try to get BDN lynched. I'm more confident in BDN being wolfy, and if my read doesn't follow through correctly, the only thing I have to base as a wolf for you is with Xiz. Think of my last game where I was a wolf with Drizzle and Xiz. By the end of the game, essentially everyone had agreed that Drizzle was a wolf, but they didn't lynch her. They didn't because it really wouldn't have benefited them as opposed to lynching the other remaining wolf at the time (me).
Also, why are you so confident in that you think the seering was false? I don't see how you can come to that conclusion, honestly. Sure, it was an odd target, but I just don't get why that makes you so sure that it's not a true reading.

In terms of lynching, I'm kinda hoping someone else leads on that. I'll focus on greens, anyone else can focus on reds.
I don't get this. how do you go about finding greens? why are you not looking for wolves (the objective of the game for the human team)?

I don't get this. BDN is posting. TPS is not posting. why do you want to keep TPS around if you think he's wolfy?

no but your last sentence was fishy and fake as hell, seeing as you've pretty much sponged my reads this whole game. I think sunfan is human, I don't know why netjet would have EVER targeted sunfan, I would've thought he would've picked tps/me/danceguy, maybe xiz. and did you read the reason he gave for it? you probably didn't but it was "clear me since I don't know how roles are randed"
so yea good point jarrod, good read jarrod he's a wolf, im gonna vote him. but i'm gonna lynch you down the road!! I can keep you for one day and then lynch you without thinking critically, that's what im gonna do, it's a great plan weeeeeeeeeeee
TPS do you have any answers to any of my questions, now that this is the second time I have asked?
What's silly was earlier I was just gonna shrug it off as nothing, but this lack of response is raising flags to me.
Unfortunately, not at the moment. I'm going through logs and comparing what I have to reactions/posts in the thread, honestly it's taking longer than I anticipated. I see that people are getting a bit suspicious of this, so I'll just post what I got when I get off of work later.
After talking with Xiz, I'm not feeling good about that lynch. Revenge safety on danceguy for now.
I can't believe I'm saying this, but I agree with Xiz's plan *ATM* (goddamn it pete, you made me do it again). Focusing on confirmed greens is a fantastic idea, and it will *really* help us down the line, I feel. The seer orb is the best way to set this up, but we do not have this luxury at the moment, and if a player feels good enough about another player, they really need to talk to them. We need to start connecting, finding the real townies, asap.
