I want everyone to just... sit with that for a second. Don't rush past it. Something real just happened in this room and I think it deserves more than a quick scroll and a "huh."

Someone put themselves out there. Completely. That is brave. A lot of people talk about trust. A lot of people say "oh yeah, trust is so important to me, it's one of my core values" and then when the moment comes they just... don't. They chicken out. I've seen it a hundred times. It's actually kind of sad.

The sun fan did not do that. He just... threw himself out there and confessed his trust wholeheartedly. He's ready to fall, come what may. That's the kind of bravery that demands respect.

Now the ball falls in Hakulyte's court. Hakulyte. You have 24 hours. And I am not going to tell you what to do because this is your journey and I respect that. But I will say this.

This is one of the most important decisions of your professional life. And maybe your personal life. I've seen people in this situation go all kinds of different directions. I once ran a workshop in Tallahassee where a guy took the full 24 hours to respond and then said "I don't trust you" directly to his own wife. They were there together. For a couples retreat. It really put a damper on the whole weekend actually...

Hakulyte, I want you to really sit with this moment. Savor it. Relish it like you would a nice, juicy hot dog. I don't like relish personally but I'm sure somebody here does. Anyway! Someone just handed you their trust on a silver platter. That is a gift. That is one of the most precious gifts one human being can offer another.

As a new player, it can be easy to fall into trying to read into the host's posts or try to analyze the game based on what you think the host may or may not do. This is a common pitfall for novices. I just don't want to be restricted by what the thread wants
if I trust someone and I want to fall with them, I'll do so
and I don't think it is likely that anyone who ends up quarantined will particularly enjoy being sidelined, it just seems likely to not actually do anything

its not like they're just gonna sit there

I think we have to engage with what this game is, rather than try and put it in a normal TWG-shaped box

A small question with regards to your "quarantine" proposal...Am I to imagine it similar to speed dating, where we kind of leave the two potential trustees to themselves and we find our own partners to be alone with as the game continues?

If you want to set up a court of public opinion, we could vote like this is a normal twg. After let's say 24 hours, whoever the 2 people with the most votes are enter "Quarantine" for the next 48 hours after that, during which time town makes a pact not to trust fall with them. Once those 48 hours are up we do another 24 hour voting session for who gets quarantined next.

Rinse and repeat. These are just rough numbers, we can try to polish the system if town wants to go this route

I mean, it is a plan that reinstates a consequence for wolfy play while also reading pressure to assist with reads.

yeah pretty much. I guess theres nothing stopping those in quarantine from trust falling with each other though quarantine wouldnt be permanent so they could rejoin town eventually and argue their case

I need to sleep, maybe ill dream of a better method or someone will take what ive posted and refine it. Anyways gnight peeps
