TWG Turbo 41: Trust Fall! [GAME THREAD]

Hello I am DucDucGoos or Beez on discord where I think some of you are in the gamer commune. I am ShadoWolfe's wife and I am not MIA haha. I'm just trying to figure out how to play this game. I don't know why I thought it would be more of a role playing game or something like that, with a plot, where i'm like a friendly baker or sad clown and we work together to find the murderer who is murdering everyone. I do rather enjoy a good whodunit. Instead it's just social interaction? Which is basically my worst nightmare.

Anyways I will try to post daily. I am a lover of both lizards and fun facts so I will be tuning in daily for the lizard fun facts at the very least. I am also a fan of popsicle stick jokes so I leave you with this...

Some games do play out like that with role playing or themes but that is definitely the exception rather than the rule. I feel like a game that leans more in that direction that is very similar to TWG is Demon Bluff

Its single player but the members of the town have jobs and their roles make sense in that context so it really leans more into the aspect of trying to find out what doesn't make sense based on what you know about your villagers and their personalities/jobs

I highly recommend it! Its in the play test phase but you can still try it out, it comes out officially later this year

I hate to leave just as the new players are showing up but it's almost midnight here and frankly I've kept Lanna up as late as I feel comfortable doing lol

everyone was spilling their guts about their life so I guess I'll do a sample platter of that, everything is still the same for me basically. Still working night shift at the same job I've been at for almost 5 years. Nothing really exciting happening, playing games and reading in my spare time. I still play a ton of gacha games.

What else....very slowly learning Japanese but it's rough going. Play the harmonica when I'm bored. Play mahjong on my phone when I'm even more bored. Yeah I guess that's everything

If you want someone to bounce Japanese off of, I'm down. I know very little, but I'll be going into it as the minor for my degree this upcoming Fall, so my skill should grow decently soon.

Also I do not envy your night shift status. I used to work closing shift at a deli and even that was pretty rough on me; I don't want to imagine what doing overnight shifts would be like.

It could honestly be either. I think it'd be a pretty bold exchange for w/w so early on in the game but it's not impossible. Thing is, I can also understand it from a t/t exchange of both of them just not liking the new forum and not wanting to deal with it which is super valid. As it stands, it just gives me light sus on both of them but isn't enough to confirm either one as wolf to me, obviously

I'm gonna be honest....I think both of them complaining about the Forum is kind of NAI because EVERYONE has complained about it at least once so far

Thank you for the offer! I'm kind of selfishly learning it right now because a lot of visual novels are Japanese but I hear you make progress a lot faster in speaking it if you have someone to practice with so ill reach out if I go that direction (or if I just get stuck on learning something lol)

And yeah you get used to the overnights but it's not really easy. Especially when you have friends that don't work overnight and do things when you are normally asleep.

There's perks though, I guess overall I'm ok with it.

I wish I could join but other then like, literal one birthday shot I've quit for health reasons.

In my mind this is public info but if you guys didn't know, I literally almost died roughly 9 months ago from unchecked diabetes and sort of had to make some hard decisions.

I'm off the shots already, btw. Been managing it through diet alone. Told that's sort of unheard of but I wake up with my readings under 90 most days so good news: I got better

That really sucks to read, but I'm glad you got through it and are doing better now. I honestly should see a doctor soon myself. It's been far too long.

Y'all talking about health and stuff lately makes me want to share my stuff...So I guess I'll go next (I was very...unsure if a subject like this was appropriate for TWG, so I held off)

I am currently in an outpatient rehab program for alcoholism. The amount I was drinking daily was, to put it in simple terms: Very dangerous. I was downing a 12 case minimum daily every day I was off work in tallboys.

I've been in the program for about 2 and a half months and have since gotten that number down to 1 at minimum, and 4 at the most.

I'm with Freezin, that is some pretty heavy stuff. Congrats on recognizing the problem and taking steps to address it though. Addiction's a bitch, but you got this!
