you know, the one thing that pisses me off about this "difficulty logic" is that Novo Mundo is an 11. There are definitely WAY harder 10s. I don't care if there is a set of rolls near the end of that song. It's unjustifiable.

I've also said this once, and I'll say it again, we need a set SONG for each Difficulty for it to be the trend setter. So, say anything harder than Over the Frail Dream is a 10 etc etc.

Disregard ATPS, and BPM. The chart is important as ****, and 3 sets of runningmen at 100bpm/16ths is probably harder than 1 120bpm/24th runningman.

Just me shooting my mouth off, I probably don't know jack shit, but damn, we need a FINE LINE for difficulties.

Amen to that. elegante is in no ****ing way a 9. Sure the beginning is easy to PA but once you get to the 16th jumps, the abused hands, and the awkward 32nd bursts is harder than MOST of the 9s in this game. SHOULD be a low 10 imho but tbh, Nitrix is easier and most of the 10s (especially Lune Noir for ****'s sake) are easier than this file. All I'm saying is that the file is a typical 9+ bmah file that should be a 10. Also, the file is horrible, gj judges for accepting garbage files. Subjectivity is the reason why we have Dossar files. Also, this file feels like a Dossar file so yeah...file is complete garbage.

Using this logic, does this mean that difficulty wise....Fall Silently is harder than Velocity? If we're talking strictly based on scores gotten by the masses, this seems to be the case so far. It's seeming to me that Velocity is more of a high 9 than a 10

Ichliebekase pointed out in profile chat that Champion Freeverse (a 9) is a very comparable file to Velocity (Same song Author, same stepfile artist) and has a pretty similar feel

Extending on this comment, when comparing those files, the reason why I pointed out same author and step artist is because Carlos has his own style, bmah has his own style, etc. Carlos stepped 2 Tonedeff files that even sound the same. IMO, the charts are just about the same, minus the colors from CF. They even have just about the same total combo (not saying this is a legitimate factor, just found it ironic).

K well I sightread AAA'd Champion Freeverse and here I am 65 tries later on Velocity and still no AAA. Have 5 on it as m best. To me Freeverse flows way easier than Velocity does and velocity has some dense jumpstream areas. Chances are the reason Freeverse is comparable to some is because they have a bias with colored charts.


EDIT: Yea I just watched the Freeverse preview since it had been a little while and that's not comparable to Velocity like at all.

Surely after a nearly clean 43 goods on J'ai Envie de Plaisir, you should be able to wipe the floor off your own file.

I always get random goods at the end when it slows down... ლ(ಠ益ಠლ)

There are plenty of 9s in game that are just as challenging if not more!

Torinouta, Legendary Etude, Forsaken Neon, Over the Frail Dream, etc.

It still doesnt seem like something that D3 shouldnt have AAA's on by now.
I just woke up so I drop a couple random goods here and there but the part you mentioned seems pretty simple.
