The sightread curse strikes me again, as the first score I make was a BF, but even then it wasn't registered as the dashboard wasn't active by the it was sent. Took about 4 tries afterwards to get it.

So the last round was according to the story books: "very easy" for the Bracket 6 fellas, as 19 people AAA'd the song. So, as a way to resolve the situation, we got skipped onto the 3rd round's file.

You can absolutely tell the impact of the chart hitting your face like a 13 ton truck. I legit think it's a 97.

Has it really been 7 years since I tried a tournament? Goddamn.

For this occasion, I might as well go back by trying to get to the 100 ceiling that I constantly keep saying myself that I can reach at some point (To the point that I almost proved myself with the lovely blackflag on Jamais Vu on the 14th).

Also a return is on what I dubbed, "Chocolate Keyboard". It's a term we use on the OutFox development server for keyboards that literally melt like chocolate. And in this case it's no exception. Last time I was on a tournament, the 11th in this case, I used this "Easy" branded full-sized keyboard that had most keys already sunken down, but it could still register no problem. So, for this, I brought up a Logitech K200 to fill in the gap.

I've tried playing keyboard charts with mechanical keyboards but it just doesn't cut it, the travel distance is insane. I could get like a magnetic switches one but have you seen the prices of switches in general????????? hell no, lol.

Hello again from the eternal slumber that is me not touching this game from time to time, how's your day going?

I went back to start playing some songs again given the time frames I have between every little thing I have to work on to just smash some arrows in here, and I realized that it still had the Axl render I had made in MMD all those years ago back in uh... I think it was 2016 when I made it? I legit cannot remember at this point.

So I figured, hey: Why not update the profile with the current imagery that I have on pretty much everything else? So now you're gonna see a shark! Yeah, in case it wasn't that obvious, I've been a furry for a while, but didn't bother updating the profile here beforehand even while I was still playing this game consistently, but no more!

As for other things, I've been expanding my animation skills a bit by diving straight into blender and its been quite nice. I even started an art account to go along with what I make on it, called RykeShrk (a nameplay of my character's name and the species. I am so bad at making names lol), but I'm not linking it here because I'll warn you that its not SFW stuff... So if you wanna see it, go find it.

Otherwise, I'm still gonna try to play this again in a more casual sense, trying to get my average rank in a better spot, since I have a bunch of unplayed songs, like a lot.

So, how's been things?

Well, first, I've been managing the archive. For those who don't know, I have a Archive full of StepMania versions; my goal is to catalog all of them.

Second, I'm already at university. It's getting a little difficult to actually socialize because I'm an introvert, but I am trying.

Third, I'm finally doing something big! It's called MoonDance, and it's the future version of StepMania. I'm currently working as the 3D/macOS version development guy. Learning quite the essential skills when it comes to handling situations and problems along the way.

And well, and now it leads us to here.
What am I planning to do?

Well, I'm gonna try to get that Tier 5. And the most amount of AAA's as I physically can. Because I know there's a bunch of charts there that I can beat, but never touched. Now it's the time.

It's been around 6-9 (maybe more) months that I just stopped playing this game, and moved on into SM focused KB play, but I even left that too 5 months ago to focus completely on programming and theme creation for StepMania 5, OpenITG/NotITG.

Seeing the profile again, I see that there's a lot of stuff that has changed in this site, that I have to discover. So that's why I was thinking of returning, like hell, even my rank hasn't changed much! I'm amazed that is still close to my old 42 rank when I last played here!

So, should I return?
