You've made two incompatible claims.

1. Your intent was to be roleblocked by the wolves.
2. It didn't work because you forgot there was a roleblocker.

The only explanation for you making both these claims is if you are the roleblocker.

I misworded both claims. That was my fault.

Why would a wolf try to soft claim a role, and then retract? It obviously would bring attention to them!

Whether you retracted the claim right away or not, the play itself brings attention to you. So this defense doesn't hold up.
