Hello again, FFR community! We hope you had a happy April Fools. We’re back this month for another installment of exciting updates!
What’s New?

Raw Scoring has replaced Combo Scoring as the standard scoring type across all FFR engines! Raw Scoring is calculated by your raw point total, and is not affected by combo. Don’t let a rogue miss ruin a personal best score ever again! (Please note that the transition to raw scoring is not fully complete yet: The in-game highscores will continue to display your “rank” and “last best” by combo scoring until they can be re-coded to reflect this update).
Level Ranks and Song Level Stats are now ranked by raw scoring. Refresh your level ranks, and embark on a fresh and exciting average rank grind adventure today!
Skill Rating level ranks are now public. You may view another players’ top 50 scores by searching their username on the FFR Leaderboards and clicking the stats icon next to their name.
Average Rank and Grandtotal Rank stats displayed on profiles now exclude banned and blacklisted accounts.* We hope this change will provide a much better representation of your actual standings on the FFR Leaderboards.

Something happened in the conversion process that makes my level ranks inaccurately displayed. Some files that I have AAAd show a number of plays of no results data thus giving me 180k rank instead of 1.

@andy-o24 Scores recorded before the existence of raw scoring have no judgements (0-0-0-0-0 PA), and will be overwritten by your next gameplay. I will look into converting scores with a max grandtotal to raw scoring AAA, but anything less must be sacrificed as an offering to the raw scoring gods.

Finaly, I’ve waited for this for so long now.
Also another side effect of the transition: AAA that were added through a recovery request (with all average) are directly converted resulting in a crappy score.

Prawn you can also directly convert any 0-0-0-0-0 record where the combo score shows they got just 1, 2, 3, or 4 boos into the correct raw score. Just like an AAA, there’s no other way to achieve those scores with combo scoring so you can be 100% sure it was just from boos. A blackflag and anything lower has multiple ways of getting it (1g or 5boo), so those have to be lost. This is probably way too much work for the handful of booflags out there pre-raw scoring, but hey. Just saying.

Holy shit it finally happened! Too bad it’s right when I’m taking a break from FFR. I guess now I have something awesome to look forward to when I start playing again, woohoo!

The old best rank still goes off combo scoring. Is there any way we could keep that around when implementing the new raw score rank? It’s kind of fun knowing you not only beat your old raw score but also beat your old combo score too.
