I see the PS3 as more of a buy only because, yeah the whole WII controller scheme is brilliant... but how long until that wears off? Its kind of like guitar hero ... When i got GH2 for Christmas last year i was so excited, i was up playing it you know standing up and getting into it, but now i still have fun with it but i just sit there. ... I ll play GH3 just as much as i did GH2 but im not as into it. Eventually your just going to want a normal vieo game were you sit down and play it..... And with the PS3's six - axis it still has a little bit of the "control" feeling. Yeah the PS3 is sooo expensive , but for what is does.... its a good buy.Its basically a computer... I call it a PSP on steroids. Now all i have to do is convince my dad to buy me one :P.......

The control scheme does not wear off.

You will get tired of Wii Sports. That's a given. You won't get tired of the controller as a whole.

Your analogy with Guitar Hero makes no sense. You got tired of the game so you... kept playing the game? The analogy would make more sense if you got tired of the guitar controller so you opted to use a normal PS2 controller instead. Either way, your statement is full of holes.

And yeah, I did want a normal game where I just sit down and play it. So I bought Elebits, Trauma Center 1 and 2, Super Monkey Ball, Zelda, Mario, Paper Mario, Metroid Prime, and Zack & Wiki. I sit when I play these games. Anyone who doesn't is a fool.

There are so few games that you play standing up with Wii that arguing this point shows a huge lack of research. Really I can only name three: WarioWare and Wii Sports, along with Guitar Hero, kinda. That's it.

doesn't matter the control of a game or the gameplay...someday you'll get tired of the game but not the controler (example number 1: the DS)

Nobody knows when Nintendo plans to release different colors for the console / controllers, but they said they'd do it. The only supposed colors are red, black, platinum, and red.

Your best bet is one of those third-party wii remote jackets.

Honestly, I see no reason for buying a Wii outside of Brawl and Cooking Mama (game is addicting). Maybe people like Squeek can love the waggling and moving with the Wii for years to come but the Wii bores me. That won't stop me from getting one but I really only want it for one game.

I don't enjoy the waggling.

I enjoy having a game selection.

I enjoy not having to pay $60 for every game regardless of how crappy it is.

I enjoy not having to drop nearly half a grand just to have the console.

I enjoy not needing an HDTV just to enjoy the games.

I enjoy a console with a low failure rate.

But most importantly, once again, I enjoy the abundance of games. Whether or not they use motion controls is up to the developer. If the motion controls are intuitive, it makes the game even more fun. If the motion controls are not, they can make a fun game into crap. It's a very black-and-white situation with Wii games in this regard. They're either really awesome or really terrible. There's no middle ground. That makes it easy to buy them.

I don't know your experience with the console, but from the looks of it, the only games you've played have been heavily motion-controlled. Suffice to say this is the minority of the game selection on Wii by far. Most good games have minor motion controls that actually work. I'd even put Zack and Wiki in that category, since the primary form of gameplay is point-and-click, not the motion controls you need to interact with the environment (which are totally natural and work almost flawlessly). I know you like games, so I can't understand why you ignore the entire Wii library of non-motion-based games.

And with regards to Cooking Mama: Why does Majesco refuse to let the price on this game drop?! Nobody's buying it! The DS version is $5-$10 now! Cut the price to $25 so I can buy it!

PS3 costs more, but will get you better graphics and more action games.
Wii costs less and doesn't have as many good action games but it is a great party console.

I actually had a ds... got rid of it for a psp....

I think that the wii is a really fun system when you have a lot of friends over or something but i just had way more fun with the ps3

People say the control shceme gets old. Opposed to what? The only other control schemes? If you want to give room for different steering wheel pads I completely agree. But if it's not broken don't fix it right? Fair enough!! I can agree there too. But you can't say the Wii or it's controls are boring. Well you can but you must be a fool. I mean come on guys, you can't say it and spare the other consoles. Calling the Wii boring (the most innovative console ever) pretty much tells me that the XBox and PS3 are beyond boring. Do you get what I'm saying. Even if you don't agree if you can tell me you understand where I'm coming from I'll be happy.

It just annoys me when someone can call the Wii boring next to a PS3 or XBOX. I mean if you prefer other consoles that's fine but if anything the Wii is the least boring console.
