There are two dozen Wii exclusive RPGs confirmed in development.

How many are there for PS3? Like, four?

And how is a powerhouse graphicswhore system designed for RPGs? It's designed for FPSes. That's it. RPGs always take the lowest graphical support to work.

still the ps3 has 2 version of final fantasy XIII wich are by far one of the reasons some people bought (or will buy) a ps3. 2 of the best is enough for any RPG player to buy a console (wich eventually will drop his price even more).

it also has folklore and soon disgaea 3

Hooray. The PS3 has Final Fantasy. It's a shame that the Dragon Quest and Tales series are on Nintendo platforms, among many, many others, including one from Camelot, the makers of Golden Sun. Camelot made a statement years ago that they would never make an RPG again. The originality of the Wii drove them to begin development for a new RPG to be unveiled on it.

Squeek has a point. I think that for a PS3, you should track down a number of games to make sure that if you get it, IT WILL BE WORTH IT. The Wii has tons of games, but maybe when the PS3 drops in price, there will already be plenty of RPG's out. So Wii first, and if you're thirsty for more, get the PS3 and some cool Square games that might have come out by then! At least that's how I look at it. XD

If that was the case then I shouldnt buy a Wii, but I am because of brawl. Thats pretty much it and it will probably be one of the only games I own for it.

It's just pointless. If you're gonna drop half a grand, then make it worthwhile.

The only reason I don't have a 360 is because the good games are on PC. That makes the number of exclusive worthwhile games diminish significantly. On the flipside, I already have 13 Wii games and I can play any of my 42 Gamecube games on it. And the reasons why I don't have a PS3? First of all, it's a Sony product. Second of all, there are absolutely no games worth playing on the system. Third, it's ridiculously expensive.

If Brawl is the only reason you're getting a Wii, similar to how quite a few people only got a Gamecube for Melee, you really should consider the multitude of better games that exist on the system. Super Smash Brothers Melee wasn't even in the top 10 best games on the Gamecube.

oh but i'm didn't only buy a ps3 for those 3 games.....i already own a wii and i have plenty of ps3 titles already released and some that will be released that i'm looking forward to play. besides it's your own opinion when you say "there are absolutely no games worth playing on the system". there are games on the system is just that you don't look deep enough, it might not have many exclusives but the few it has are enough ro make me buy it (and buy non-exclusive games).

i say the same thing for people who say the wii has no games, you have to look deep to find good games (or just stop being a fanboy or anti-nintendo/sony)

My dad just bought a 50 thousand dollar mustang and hes driven it like 3 times. The value of something isnt always the same for others as it is for you

I completely agree with Squeek. You can't buy anything just to use it for one game, or for 1 of its many uses. I bought the Wii because of Brawl, but also for many other games as well, like Galaxy or WarioWare Inc. But the real reason why I bought it is because I wanted to try out the new controls and see how innovative and fun it is to play it.

I also bought the 360 as well because:
A) Many good games I like (Halo 3, Gears of War, etc.)
B) I'm not a PC gamer at all.
C) It's ridiculously cheaper than the PS3
D) Many FPSs, which is my style of gameplay, as well as many music games that are out for 360 as well (Is there DDR for PS3 yet? No).

And I still don't get what people have against Sony. Just because the PS3 isn't popular doesn't make the company bad. The PS3 isn't the ONLy thing they make, ya know.
