Mass Effect is already out. And it doesn't follow the JRPG that it looks like he's looking for. By the by. Eternal Sonata is already out too. So is Blue Dragon.

The only ones I know that are coming out are: Lost Odyssy and that one they announced at the Tokyo Game show.

the 360 has the ring of death. i dont think he would want a system that is infamous for crashing.
i would pick the wii over the ps3. the wii is 100% backwards compatible, has ports for the gamecube controllers and memory cards, and has the virtual console, which has more games for download than the ps3. oh and it costs 250$

with the ps3, its 400$ for a 40G HD, not 100% backwards compatible, if you wanna play old games and you wanna continue where you left off, you need to buy an adapter for your memoery card since the ps3 doesnt have a port for one.

The $400 PS3 doesn't have "limited" backward compatibility. It has no backward compatibility.

Also, Chromer, you constantly tell me that I'm a fanboy, and then you make statements like that. The novelty does not wear off. Wii Sports wears off. It was obvious. You can't play any one game for that long. Actually, pure-motion control games aren't really that good, either. You need a mix between motion controls and another control, which is usually motions on the wii-mote and movement on the nunchuck. That is what makes a good game. Fortunately, most Wii games follow this formula.

@OP: It's a good thing Square makes horrible games. Just go get a Wii. I don't know why you'd pay $400+ for a console for just two games anyway.

Guys. Firstly, i'm a girl. Secondly, I know the 360 may be cool and all (especially with Halo 3) but I didn't talk about it in the first place, right? READ TITLE! It's between PS3 of Wii. Just so you all know i'm probably gonna get the Wii but I'll be sad when those games eventually come out on PS3. However, I'm impatient. Wii it is. ^.^ Thanks for all the help, everyone.

Get a wii.
The games are one of a kind.
Just about anything on the PS3 can be bought for the PC.
Nothing on the Wii can truly be ported on any other system.

Get a wii, especially if you are a nintendo fan.

So my brother keeps asking me. "What would you rather have?" and I can't choose. You see, lots of people tell me "Get the Wii" but there's quite a few games like KHIII and FFXIII that I want sooo badly when they come out. I mean, it's SQUARE ENIX! They're gonna be putting a lot of their new titles out on the PS3 so. . . it's like a weight balance. One day I want the Wii. . . next, the PS3. Anyone have any suggestions? Advice = lots of love!

PS3 does have some cool titles, but its alot more expensive than the Wii.
And BTW, dont count on all those cool Wii titles comming out on the PS3 as well. It probably wont happen.
If its RPG's your seeking, go with the PS3!
PS3, by far, will have better RPG's than the Wii. The Wii isnt even designed for that type of gameplay. PS3 is much better suited, and will dominate when it comes to RPG's.

And how is a powerhouse graphicswhore system designed for RPGs? It's designed for FPSes. That's it. RPGs always take the lowest graphical support to work.
