Sony isnt a bad company. People just say that for some reason...mostly because of what their friends say, and arogance,
I like Sony, and im getting a PS3 for Christmas!
Reasons I like the PS3:
1. I can use my PSP with it. Access it remotly from ANYWHERE and transfer music/vids/pics.
2. Great graphics.
3. Cool games. and you cant prove anything yet. Its a fairly new system and their still trying create a cool lineup.

The only reason I don't have a 360 is because the good games are on PC. That makes the number of exclusive worthwhile games diminish significantly.

If Brawl is the only reason you're getting a Wii, similar to how quite a few people only got a Gamecube for Melee, you really should consider the multitude of better games that exist on the system. Super Smash Brothers Melee wasn't even in the top 10 best games on the Gamecube.

Getting a Wii for one game is more reasonable than getting a PS3 for one game. Also: "Super Smash Brothers Melee wasn't [sic] even in the top 10 best games on the Gamecube"-- It is in my mind, buddy. I never even owned a Gamecube, but I feel that if I owned Paper Mario and MAYBE Super Mario Sunshine and Mario Kart (in addition to Melee that I already own) that I would be wholly satisfied with my Gamecube collection.

Oh and really, even getting a Xbox360 for one game is more reasonable. You know, I got a 360 just because of Rock Band. I spent roughly 550$ total. I got the 2nd best available console bundle, too. If I had gotten Rock Band for PS3 and a PS3 instead, I would have spent about 600$ just to have the lowest rung console bundle.

How about the fact that their entry for this round of the console wars is terrible. Costs more than the other consoles, has less exclusive games, games cost more than on other consoles. Honestly, the only things the PS3 has in the positives category are: amazing graphics (and personally, even the Wii's graphics look amazing to me), possibly the best controller design ever (which has actually been in use for 10 years now on the PSX, then PS2), Final Fantasy (woohoo you know there are other RPGs in the sea right? Better ones, even-- heck, better ones produced by Square Enix THEMSELVES), and Bluray player (yeah, I'm itching to make all of the DVDs I own obsolete). The PS2 is the winner for the last round, but one year into this round and it's plain to see that the PS3 is doing poorly. You know why the PS2 did so well? Relatively cheap and a huge library of great games. That is the antithesis of what the PS3 is. And really, every PS3 that is sold means that Sony is literally losing money because even though they charge more than the other consoles, the PS3 costs more to produce than what they sell for. This means that they'll be counting on game sales just to turn a profit, and sadly, the available library is trash and cross platform releases. I honestly can't think of a single game on PS3 that is worth owning that is not also available on Xbox360 (and also 10 dollars cheaper too).

Wow that is totally something great and totally needed in every home gaming console!

The Wii is new too. Heck, it's even newer if you consider the fact that games designed specifically for the Wii are different than any other game for other systems. And yet, the Wii has a rather strong library of games, and not just that, but EXCLUSIVE games-- games that aren't available on the PC or other platforms.

PS was I the only one who noticed that Chromer used the "has free online play" as an excuse to get a PS3 instead of a Wii?

It's a shame that Rock Band is ridiculously expensive and stupid if all of your friends are constantly in other states.

I had the chance to play it when all of my friends came back for Thanksgiving but rofl we were too busy playing Zack & Wiki.

I think they just didn't want to hear me singing. Even though they all suck so much more than I do.

PS3, cuz the wii has good games but sucks in graphics and FPS and it dosn't have oblivion or hevanly sword, now saying that the wii has mario galxy for kids and Super Smash Bros. Brawl other then them games, thats it. PS3 has killzone 2, star wars force unleased. jericho, Rainbow 6 vegas, and and GTA 4, and more to come, so, it u want kid games like mario and zelda wii, but if ur a gamer who dosn't wat to pay 4 online, and wat great grpahics............get the ps3 dude its great...

Well, I mean, I have a PS3 and I like it. I think I've said this in just about every thread of this ilk, but I have a Wii and a PS3, and the PS3 by far gets more play time. That's not saying I hate the Wii or anything like that - it's just the way the cards fall most of the time. And I did pay for the PS3 - The 80 gig package and everything.

Was it worth it? Who knows. Do I enjoy playing it? Yes. Am I missing the money I spent yet? Not really, because I tend to blow through my whole paychecks anyway, so I'm right where I usually am at the beginning of pay week.

My brother also owns a 360 (lol, we still live at home boo) and I could never really get into the interface. Probably because I never really cared for the Dashboard, and mostly because most of the games I play I just hop on in game and don't have to navigate the dash.

Oh, also, I guess another reason I got a PS3 is because I do game reviews for a website and the more systems I have, the more free games I get from developers on occasion, so it's a way to supplement my income.

Annnyways, I have a crush on every boy.

Oh, I'm a huge Ratchet and Clank nerd. That was pretty much the main reason I got the console. And since I didn't have to buy a Wi-Fi attachment, I went ahead and got CoD4 for the PS3 so I could play something online from my room. My computer is way too crappy to even run Day of Defeat, and the XBox is in my brother's room. It also belongs to him and I wouldn't want to whore his system. I also tooled around and downloaded some stuff from the Playstation store (Castlevania: SOTN, which I know is available for the 360 as well, Everyday Shooter, Guns-Cash-Carnage or something and Super Stardust HD.) So I'm kind of set as far as games come until next week, when I plan on picking up Uncharted, which has a particularly long campaign, so I'm not really jabbering at the lack of games yet.

The problem I had with my PS2 was that there were so many games, I'd pick up 2-3 at a time and never put any in except for one, which I would never beat, because the next week, more games would be out, etc. So I like sitting down and really playing the games instead of just bumming around and buying up a bunch of titles at once.

I know there aren't a lot of A-grade games that are exclusive (Ratchet... Drake's Fortune) but that doesn't stop me from now buying the games that also appear on another system.

All in all, I'm pretty happy with my purchase. And I'm having fun with it, go figure.

- Mario Galaxy is not just for kids or just played by kids
- Star Wars forced unleashed will also be released on the 360, Wii, PS2, PSP and DS
- Jericho sucks
- Rainbow 6 is once again on other consoles besides PS3
- Once again Mario and Zelda are not just for kids. Infact I bet the majority of people who play Mario and Zelda games are 13 or older.
- Graphics are not everything. the 360 graphics are just as good as the PS3 and the Wii good graphics as well even if they are not mindblowing.

Lol, one time one of my friends was playing a tennis game on her Wii and she hit a light fixture across the room and broke it. The Wii is nice. The graphics aren't the best ever but who cares, anyway? Well some people might but I think it has enough other things that pay off for it. As for the PS3, i don't think it's that bad, either. I think that if some of you people had a little thing called PATIENCE. . . *cough*. . . you would get to see some of the great things that could come out for it. And about the 360: it's almost the same as PS3, only it doesn't have a Blue-ray player and the online things aren't free. And it's cheaper. And frankly, I just don't care for it much. That's not saying I hate it, it's just not what I have in mind as far as buying my console. I know all of you who are saying, "Why buy the expensive stupid PS3 with only a few games when you could buy the less expensize 360 with more games," and you want my answer? BECAUSE I CAN. Jeez, people. I'll buy what I wanna buy. My money, my choice. Sure, talking about it is fun. Talk away. All i'm saying is nomatter how hard you try, there's still gonna be people that support the PS3. It's not crap, it's a console. GET IT? GOT IT? GOOD! ^.^

i think all three consoles are awesome, right now i own a wii and a DS, my sister a ps3 (though we share) and soon my brother will buy a xbox 360, seriously last gen the gamecube had almost the same problem as the ps3 and guess what it still survived and got many great games (maybe not as much as the ps2) but the point is that even the ps3 has his high points but if you block your sight with hatred you'll never be able to see them

Playstation 3 is much better than all of the other consoles. They have great games and always have, like the Final Fantasy series, metal gear, gran turismo, megaman x. I have seen what the xbox 360 can do and what the ps3 outputs. Playstation was the power house back in the day and still is today no matter what you think, the graphics outpower other consoles, blu ray kicks ass, and playstation simply is in a calm before the storm. I can't believe everyone is backing out and leaving sony just for it's price range it's much worth it in so many ways, especially all of the features. Online playability was never bad for playstation it's actually extremely stable I don't see any problems with it. You know I hate to see so many people abandon this great system and forget about how much potential it actually has.

I own a gamecube and a PS2. I have more GC games than PS2 games. Like, 30 more.

@Shai: Four franchises = $600 machine? Wow, sign me up. Two of those franchises generally sell like crap and I dislike the other two, so hey! AAA console right thar!
