Re: TWG XXVII: Art Causes Harm to the Body (Really) (Night 1)
Hans, that was the first thing I looked for (the players who were in last game, too), but I determined that it just isn't likely that we can glean anything from that, at least at this point. There are four people in this game that weren't in the last one, and I followed it. So unless our wolf team is the three other people, the one or more people who played last game could easily have convinced any others that iggy can prove to be useful.
And, as I write this, I realize I'm surely thinking exactly what the wolves want me to think. Iggy's not a surprising kill to me because of how active he was, he was killed last game to shut people up and avoid discussion, etc. Assuming iggy didn't talk to anyone last night (he sure didn't talk to me), there's an equal chance for everyone for blue fishing. Iggy just has a reason to be expected.
I've gotta say, though, I'm in favor of the bane coming out, but the prospect of an invincible blue + seer might be enough to get a fake blue to come out. Sure, if a fake seer is pulled, we can lynch both as a precaution, but what if a fake bane comes out? Is there any way to prove this? Neither of them would ever get wolfed in order to prove his humanity.
I know this is just me being paranoid like I do every time a blue coming out is discussed, but once the bane comes out, we lose all chance of a guarding, confirmation of the bane, and the prospect of an extra day. I know that the bane coming out successfully would be great for us, but what do the wolves have to risk by faking it? Like Kilga said, we're not stupid enough to lynch the bane, so trading one-for-one isn't nearly as beneficial as doing so with, say, the seer or psychic.
