Initial thought was that you wanted to take up the obvious town pick that has become 100% town early because end game with the time limit benefits your team the less obvious towns there are, and what better way to soil a 100% town then to have them fall out with a wolf instead of someone else?

Make no mistake, realistically speaking what we really should be doing is abusing Haku's status and never falling for him until we've hit a deadline with a hard wall on progress. As long as two wolves are still out there we can afford to save him.

Yes, this means that if I'm right it POE's SunFan into being town.



Stating optimal town play and doing optimal town play are two different things, especially when early game content is much easier to generate and manage as wolf then late game

Granted this is not the same in forum as in IRL Mafia so there's a part of me that feels it's unfair to really hold that point against yo

Anyway unless the wolf team is exactly SunFan and Haku and this all was an attempt to go ahead and try to stage a clear for them never being partners, Haku is always town here period.

I won't absolutely say no to the theory they are partners but I don't personally believe it. It's fairly early in the game for such a gambit IMHO. These would be the two players that would conceivably try that schtick though but that's too much tinfoil for my lil' ol' head I think

I stand by that as long as town thinks we can find another pairing, we should save Haku for a rainy day

I get where you're coming from, thanks. Looking at it that way, I can see how it adds up. I'm perfectly fine with Haku rejecting my offer, so long as we can get another likely town/town pair figured out. I don't necessarily follow how that means Sun is town so you may have to make that more obvious for my stupid lizard brain to make sense of, sorry.

I'm with you that Haku is basically guaranteed town, and we can find that other pairing, that's all I truly care about.

Alright... I've had some cold water and some time to mull things over in my mind

I think here's where I stand with Freezin's love confession (I'm sorry, but for flavor of this being a "Speed Dating" game, I'm calling it that)

Freezin, at the very least to me, feels like a MASSIVE wildcard who could either flip town or wolf....I would like to be the one to fall on the sword here and declare my intentions to accept his trust (Note: I am NOT "voting" just yet. I just want to make my headspace be known) and if he's a townie, that is FANTASTIC news for us. I have also considered the "Well what if he flips Red?"....To that I defer to us NOT PANICKING, taking a deep breath and keeping those 1 in 8 odds in mind as I mentioned previously because the remaining players I'm confident in will be able to send it home for us.

"Well, if you're 50/50 on him, why would you accept?"

Simple. We're almost at the stage of the game where checkpoint one is complete and if both trust falls happen simultaneously, It's a big gamble but we could HOPEFULLY get FOUR of us out of the game. Town cannot win without taking a chance on things like this. I'm rambling at this point I guess.

All I can really do is play with the cards I've been dealt here.

As for the who I am rather confident in?

That would be Lar, Greg, and naturally Haku.

Tokomi is up there on that list as well

The rest I don't have much of an opinion for because they haven't really been hauling ass like the rest of us.

i am actively reading and catching up! i will not be getting up from my chair until i am fully immersed in what's going on. i am regretting neglecting the forum. part of me was really scared to mess up and i thought i would be alone in that, especially playing with people who have been in the community for so long - but in catching up i've seen that we're all feeling similar feelings.

i really hope no one leaves the game early, i know the UI is fugly but i do like how you all communicate and i'm excited to see how this works!!

Unfortunately, because of the checkpoints, we have roughly 8 hours for a pair to be formed or else a wolf gets out for free, so there will be some people leaving early. The only difference is if we can figure something out ourselves or if it gets left up to random chance.

I did forget to mention that there's the possibility where we've fucked up royally and we just let both wolves out and lose....But the odds of that happening are just...REALLY, REALLY low

it is very, very possible that Freezin just picked someone that he suspects would YOLO back into him
do what you want but

weirdly enough, this entire time i've been catching up on messages i find myself trusting you the most. then again i have just heard your name for years and years, but something about antler-less louis from beastars is definitely helping the vibe

i have no idea how else to decide who i can feel safe with besides picking whoever i generally like the most from their contributions. i'm going completely based on who seems to be the most carefree (and funny) i guess? whoever seems to be harboring the least amount of guilt?

you're all really digging deep into each other, i was so sure that haku would accept sun fan's proposal but then it didn't happen.

If you're the wolf and you want to snap up Haku for yourself, then that kind of implies you're feeling pressure because Haku knows he could just leave whenever he wants with SunFan if he gets bored or pressured. If SunFan was your wolf partner, I'd imagine you would feel as much pressure to 180 on your game to secure Haku on a wolf pairing
