The repetitive patterns are what gets me ALL my goods. I can do the ending with no problem, its the beginning with the awkward stupid repetitive patterns. It's not easy for everybody. -.-"

The only annoying part I see for Glorious Morning are those 24th rolls @.@ If I can nail them without getting a boo, then I can AAA it but might take a few days for it. Other than that, I really didn't find the file to be enjoyable and as Middie said, they should be trills and not rolls (despite that you sort of used it in a form of a pun). Other than that, it was a let down and would be one of those files that I won't play ever again once I AAA it.

trills would definitely change the flow of that file, IMO
My overall impression is that the file was stepped in a very smooth fashion, and trills would break such a flow.

I feel like people never consider anything other than just the hard parts of songs lol.

Now like I said in the other thread both Ambient Angels and Fall Silently are borderline but here's my reasoning for the ratings and yes I rated them (with a lil help from AJ altho we didn't agree on these lmao)

Ambient Angels - The actual dense jumpstream only lasts for about 10 seconds. Plus the patterns flow well it's just something you need to practice. And it's only 167 bpm. The rest of the chart is a pretty low 10 with some mid areas and that hard little blip at the end. Not worthy of an 11 rating imo.

Fall Silently - I really think this is more of a high 9. Again once you get the hang of it it's not that hard. The beg is repeating patterns over and over which is easy to pick up on. The bpm is only 146 and when you get to the ending while there are hard blips with the jacks, it's actually really slow and pretty empty.

So it's you two I should blame... All of these are ranked much lower than they should be. Don't tell me not to use other songs as a base point, because then it just makes the whole point of difficulties moot. I understand what you guys are trying to do, but it won't work; ranking songs more harshly won't fix all the other rankings of songs. The only thing that will is completely revamping it on the much discussed 100 difficulty scale.

You're also dismissing the hard parts in all these songs. 10 seconds is a LONG time in rhythm games. That's like, 100+ arrows, depending on songs. There's no such thing as "only" 10 seconds. You always try to find an excuse for why the hard part in the song isn't relevant to the difficulty. That's just a horrible way to look at ranking song difficulties. You really should be taking the top end difficulty of the song, or else your rankings will ALWAYS be wrong and will get contested heavily by the community.

Yeah I like the stepping in that file. If those rolls were turned into trills, those trills would be next to impossible to hit except for dossar/AJ/others. It would double the speed at which they come, which is frankly, absurd, cause they're already fast as hell.

The 32nds are 2 frames apart, that means you gotta hit it as a gallop if you want to AAA lol. Hitting it as a quad, gl AAAing

I know to hit them as gallops, was just finding the transition awkward.

edit: never really gave my opinion but Fall Silently should be kept at a 9.. there's no reason for it to be a 10.

Oh and I wanted to comment on hi19's ABCDEath comment, yes that should be a 9 there's nothing hard about it besides the little trill. If we're stuck with this particular system of 13 difficulties then that's just how it is.

A few points.

1) I'm not even sure who is actually rating the songs in the past 2 months, but from your post, I assumed it was you two.

2) I'm _only_ blaming you (or whoever is rating them if it's not you) for the songs in the past 2 months, not all the previous ratings.

3) Most of the ratings before these past 2 months are fine, relative to each other.

4) Nothing can be borderline if you actually look at the higher end instead of dismissing the hard parts 90% of the time.

5) I CAN do it, I'm just trying my best to help rate these as they should be.

6) Considering 10 seconds is 1/12th of the song's total time, you SHOULD consider it. Not doing so is just plain stupid.

7) By your logic, all the other files should be lowered down as well. WHY DON'T YOU GO DO THAT THEN, instead of blatantly incorrectly rating NEW files? All new ratings will be completely wrong if you rate them the way you do until everything gets re-balanced on this scale, or an entirely new scale gets implemented.

I have no problem with the rolls. It would be 10x harder and frustrating if they were trills.

I can't AAA the jumps in that 12th jumpstream. :C I dump goods there. For some reason my fingers like to treat them as two seperate notes
