I feel like people never consider anything other than just the hard parts of songs lol.

Now like I said in the other thread both Ambient Angels and Fall Silently are borderline but here's my reasoning for the ratings and yes I rated them (with a lil help from AJ altho we didn't agree on these lmao)

Ambient Angels - The actual dense jumpstream only lasts for about 10 seconds. Plus the patterns flow well it's just something you need to practice. And it's only 167 bpm. The rest of the chart is a pretty low 10 with some mid areas and that hard little blip at the end. Not worthy of an 11 rating imo.

Fall Silently - I really think this is more of a high 9. Again once you get the hang of it it's not that hard. The beg is repeating patterns over and over which is easy to pick up on. The bpm is only 146 and when you get to the ending while there are hard blips with the jacks, it's actually really slow and pretty empty.

Edit2: Sara I've recently been informed gimmicks and puns in stepcharts are usually a really bad idea. I also will say I wasn't talking about the rolls so much, though they could be trills to in theory. Not trying to dog your chart, I was just trying to give an honest thought. Sorry if it came off as the ladder.

I understand that you're just giving an opinion. Not everyone is going to agree on every chart. I appreciate the thought though. I want a wide variety of opinions on my first chart in game, that way I can hopefully cater to more players in future charts.

Not a fan of Fall Silently. Patterns are repetitive, awkward, and the song is boring. I still can't AAA it and probably won't in a while.

The Rapids was brilliant. Bravo Victor!

Actually you realize the repeating patterns would be easier if they weren't so repetitive, right? It's the little 8th minijacks that are the source of nearly all my goods in that section.
Repetition is not necessarily easy, and is often harder than varying the patterns.

Plus I'm pretty sure 146 bpm alternating jumpstream into a jumptrill with a minijack at the end qualifies it as 10-material already. And if not then the ending is VERY hard to be consistent on. Even some really good players who can AAA the D5 file (hi icyworld) are so far unable to AAA this.

Overall I don't think this is a bad file. There's not many like it in FFR but that doesn't mean it's wrong by any means. Honestly I kinda see it as similar to the reason people hate on M.A.M.A. just because it's very different from what they're used to, not because it's technically wrong. Except that M.A.M.A. is also technically wrong too but shhh

p.s. if this is a 9 then move ABCDEath down as well. Considering that clearly has only one hard part that's easier than the hard part in this, but it's a 10...
