                                                        Proof: Suppose by means of contradiction that Charu was not a wolf. Since there are no third-party alignments, then he must be town. Since Charu's a townie and townies don't lie (premise 1), then Charu hasn't lied. Charu said, "You can trust me, promise, as a wolf, I will not wolf you in the night!" This phrase implies that Charu is saying that he is a wolf. Charu can't lie. Therefore, Charu is a wolf. But Charu is a townie, a contradiction. Thus, the original assumption that Charu is not a wolf must be false. Thus, Charu is a wolf.
