So here's a question about wife scoring: I was dicking about in goin under by hittig one note and not pressing anything - after the wife score reached -452% approxamately, it started ticking upwards to -441% where the chart ended. What would cause this?

Yes I am aware this literally does not matter.

    E: v0.53a if that matters

i assume it doesnt happen on vanilla sm5?

what you are describing happens if the songpacks you play all have ~4mb bg/bn files but it's hard to imagine all of your songs do

check the log file to make sure lua isn't throwing an endless number of errors at you, and make sure you installed etterna as a standalone and didn't just copy and paste everything into another installation of stepmania

it's also possible that you have delayed texture delete off and have a ton of fonts that are getting loaded/unloaded repeatedly, but i'm not too sure

i need to be able to reproduce the issue in order to root it out so give me a link to one of the songpacks you're trying to play and i'll see if i encounter the issue

The lagspikes can range from 1600-2100
Happens on all my songpacks at this very moment
These lagspikes don't occur if a song already experienced a lagspike, so it happens once on about every 2-4 songs

how significant is the freeze and does it occur on specific songs or just every 2-4 anywhere

been having problems with the song selection screen
every 2 or 4 songs I scroll through, I get a giant lag spike that freezes the game temporarily
happens even after I re-downloaded the game
    any solutions?

yeah the installer isn't properly installing prerequisites atm, it's kinda getting bumped down the priority list over and over again but we'll fix it soonish

By the way I fixed the problem I was having with lag spikes. I had installed f.lux and that was messing with the program, so now I just turn it off whenever I play and it works fine.

unfortunately no, any changes to theme folder will be overwritten

idk really know a good way around that other than making stuff like judgment font size a preference

@shenjoku migrating your save folder is as simple as copying and pasting and everything will be the same

it's only theme edits that wont be preserved through updates

Migrating stuff like that is the reason why I almost never update my SM version (and why I haven't installed this Etterna yet). Trying to make sure all those little ini changes get moved over properly is always such a massive pain in the ass. If anything can be done to fix that then I would love you forever <3

yeah, though it's safer if you leave it in the default install because otherwise i think the uninstaller won't kick in (not sure)

oh, so it should be fine to just run the installer on the current directory that the previous build was installed to?
