Well, I decided I got one too many complaints about people not being on my friends list that wanted to be. Now, they were on my friends list, but the list was so long that even with the "All of Doug31's Buddies" button, that they didn't show up, since it only showed the first 100. Now, I removed a ton of people from the list so that they'd show up, but I still assure you all that I have a lot more friends on this site than are on my list now, so don't freak out if you want to be on it and are not.

Even though I don't like tokens very much, I will admit I did enjoy the the whole 5 new skill tokens thing today, and I have determined that I should feel quite accomplished and satisfied that I am one of very few people to have all of the current tokens, which is a very difficult task now.

Gah, my eyes now hurt so much from whoring to pass zprime and trying to stay in the tourney that I can't do well, and I shouldn't use this site again for the rest of the day. Oh well, I improved my score for the tourney at the last minute and made the final 6 in advanced, and passed zprime.

I'll be back tomorrow, and I might do a few small things tonight, like see what next week's song is in the tourney, but not much.

1. MP. Make it so that either there are more MP mods, or subscribers can kick people out of their rooms, or that people can set minimum level requirements on the rooms they make. You should also just be able to click where it shows what song your opponent has selected, and have it bring up that song for you, also. I am also annoyed that any song with a long name, like EHHS, that has a v2, the name of it so long enough that you can't tell if the v1 or v2 is selected, so they need to fix that. Plus people can use this program to change their MP level to anything, even MOD, and their username, number of credits, color of text, all kinds of stuff. I don't know how this isn't blocked yet. There are also many cheaters in MP, that lose to themselves or do other crap, but it probably rarely does them any good, since I go through a ton of recent multiplayer scores when I feel like it and look for people that have really low scores, (often -3,100) multiple times against the same opponent, and if they do, I'll do a search for all their games, and if they've done it enough times, I report them, so I doubt it's doing very many of them much good for more than a few days.

2. Forums. I used to love the forums, they've just been all messed up with all this token stuff, so I'd really like it if there were a token section, with no talk about tokens whatsoever outside of it.

3. Songs. We need more good songs. They have over 50 songs in the queue, they need to finish 3rd style, release like 50 new songs with it, up the frames per second to at least 60 (this would supposedly eliminate jack syndrome), and add in speed mods. There are many other new features I am expecting to see with third style, such as an improved interface, with different music, more crazy mods like SM has, and more songs in the purchased section, since they can't add more to it right now, and a lot of old songs could really use v2s.

4. More subscriber benefits. We have been suggesting letting us see other people's average ranks for a long time, yet it still hasn't gotten implemented yet, and there are getting to be so many songs that it's going to take so long to look through them that I'm kind of starting to lose some of the interest I used to have in this. I still feel like most people are just subscribing as a donation, or because they want to buy a shirt, and are smart enough to realize they can buy a 1-month subscription and get a coupon for a shirt cheaper than it would have been to just buy the shirt.

5. Make the songs we have to play in the official tourney's closer to our skill level. For the final 8 in advanced, we should be playing something hard enough that my 2 good score could make it into the next round, since only the bottom 2 drop out, but now, it looks like I'd say I have about a 25% chance if I don't improve it. I don't see how it could be so hard to let us play hard songs, but some people are way too firm with their ways I guess. My brother refuses to change anything like this, also. But, with the insane value worth of prizes in the official tourneys, I refuse to stop trying to improve my score, since $40 for winning advanced is a lot for me, and 2nd and 3rd place get enough to be a big deal to me, also. Plus the glory of doing so well in something so hard and torturous would be enormous.

6. Other small fixes:
a. Make it so the backgrounds can be turned off, since I consider them extremely distracting.
b. Make resonance support bpm changes and have reverse.
c. Make r2 have reverse.
d. The FFR song list should have secret and token songs in it. I can understand why it doesn't, but any veteran around here knows you can see all of the secret and token songs in game level stats anyway, so at the very least, subscribers should be able to see a full song list. I once made a list of how many songs each artist had produced in FFR, and how many sims each member had stepped, and it took forever, you know why? Ya, I got most of the rather quickly from the FFR Song List, but then, I had to go find the simfile and song artists of every single secret and token song individually, which was ridiculous. The FFR song list should also be sortable by all of the different headers in it, I don't see how it could be so hard to do the rest of them, when they already have it for most of them.

7. Spin it up. Why don't subscribers get new spin it up songs early? If we did, then I'd feel there would actually be enough incentive for me to play them. Also, you have to play a song in SIU to see the high scores, and any score above 99.6% or something like that doesn't get recorded in the top 10 scores, which is pretty lame, too.

8. Autofail. You can't set this to fail at a certain combo, and I just decided it should be a forced autofail at a predetermined combo. This combo should be equal to the number of notes in the song you're playing. This way, if someone uses a hidden arrow, and comboes the whole song, it will fail them one note before then end.:) Also, if you're someone like me who tries to play in FF, then sometimes the song doesn't end when you reach the end, but autofail could fix that, and if it weren't an FC, then it probably wouldn't have been a good enough score for you to care that much about, most of the time. This can't really be done the way things currently are, unless you know how many goods/etc. you are going to get. You could just set the number of perfects to the number of notes in the song, and then you wouldn't have to worry about the song not ending when you reach the end, but only if you got an AAA.

9. My final thoughts. Actually, my biggest worry about a token is the possibility that I could end up never being able to get one of them. If shash said they would go up to as hard as having to AAA a for masters only song, I feel I'd never be able to do that, so I'd never get that token/song. Maybe if they made it so everyone could play a token song, say, 1 year after the token was released, then it wouldn't bother me nearly as much. I may have to wait quite a while, but that never feeling just kills me. I'm still unhappy about all of the old songs that have been removed, and now, I feel like it's hopeless at me ever getting to play them, like FFR Special Mix. Also, the FFR Token List doesn't have any of the skill tokens in it yet, but I'm not too worried about that getting added soon enough. Oh yeah, one more thing I don't understand. People have links to other forums in their sigs, yet every time I try to, someone on the staff will get mad at me specifically for it, so I just don't do it anymore, even though there are 4 other forums where I'm an admin and 1 where I'm a mod, and 3 of those I'd really like to get more members on, but oh well. Three of them get almost no posts anymore, but oh well, I also am getting annoyed since feel like I'm supposed to show up to every site where I'm on the staff every day, so now I'm up to a lot of sites to go to every day, since there are some like this one that I'll just go to every day, anyway. I PM'd myself the links to all of them here on FFR, to try to make it easier for myself. This is all I can think of for now, and I know I just totally went off on a huge tangent, but I don't really care. For now...on to RF to go read every new post there, since I should.

Yes, I know xjohnieboyx probably didn't really donate a bunch of money to FFR or anything, it just feels like he should have had to to me.

Also, the tiebreakers in shash's tourney suck also, consider it only changes every 2 rounds, meaning I'm stuck whoring the same insane song for 2 weeks+ each time, possibly a lot longer, and the tiebreakers are always dreadfully hard and bad, and it's not like I can FC them anymore, once they reached the fotbb/SP level, even though I actually came very close on fotbb (798 combo). Plus, the further we get into this tourney, the less often it seems like shash updates the thread, and there's just no excuse for that, since there are a lot less people in each round than the previous one, and the further we get, the more I need updates.

Another thing that bugs me is the whole speed mods thing. The subscribers got a short time where they could play FFR on 2x, but it never worked correctly in reverse, which is the only way I can play worth crap, so I feel like a lot of the other subscribers got to play FFR on 2x scroll rate, and I didn't, and speed mods are what I've dreamed of for years in FFR now, so this just kills me. Now I don't know if or when I'll get to do this again, which really sucks.:(

Now there are also way too many gamewhores around, considering 4 months ago my score was in the 7 billions, and I was ranked 6, but I've gotten all the way up to over 11 billion today, and in doing that, I've dropped all the way down to rank 9, since shark, rage-, and lump have all played more than me during that, and passed me, yet I've passed no one. As the person that's been in the single digit ranks for probably a year longer than anyone else has now, I really don't want to drop out of them.

FFR just doesn't seem fun anymore. With all of shash's AAA crap, I now feel like I need to go for the AAA on basically anything challenging or lower, and if I don't AAA, then I haven't done very well. There are probably about 5 songs challenging or less that are exceptions to this, but that really isn't very many.

I hate to say it, but I liked FFR a lot more back in 2004. Err, I don't hate to say it, I want the word to be spread! All these tokens, a tourney with way too easy of songs, retarded new songs, gargantuan unfairness to reverse players, etc., are really making me not like things around here.

Now let's see, what can I think of on the bright side of things. I have tons of credits, but I talked about this earlier, and I still never got my credits for coming in 2nd in the advanced division of the official FFR tourney in 2004, but that's ok, I could probably earn that many credits faster than I could convince tass to give me that many, but no one that was in that official FFR tourney or the previous one got any of the credits that tass said they would, and the large credit prize was the only reason I signed up for advanced, too. Otherwise, I would have selected intermediate.

Ok, so I'll admit I'm a pretty good player, but that doesn't make me happy, since I still want to be better, even though the better I am, the worse of a time I have, since I the harder something is, but not filled with jack syndrome, the more I like it, and those songs are getting nearly impossible to find in FFR for me now, considering the only hard stuff left for me other than some trash like silence is evil jack syndrome songs.

Ok, so maybe I have some pretty cool friends on this site, but they just don't seem as real to me as people I can meet in real life, but they are probably the only reason I'm still here. Anyway, enough of me saying all this stuff that bothers me, this time, I WILL come up with how to fix FFR tomorrow.
