The Official Is Back On!
The site ran well all day today and appears to be fixed. The tournament songs are up for all the divisions. Because of the delay the dashboard is reflecting an incorrect date for the round’s end. Please refer to the second post of the tournament thread for the round end dates.
On another note thanks to a tiebreaker in d6 and to TC_Halogen for stepping the file, we now have a new event token called Fractured Sunshine that has been given out to the top 16 in every division. Speaking of the tiebreaker, those who are involved remember it’s only 24 hours long. So get those scores in!
Finally, for the first time ever those who were eliminated last round are going to get a 2nd chance to battle it out for vROFL! We hope this makes up a little bit for the issues with the site in the last bit of the round. We’ll be starting this after the tiebreaker is over so keep your eye’s out for more details!
Happy New Year!

It’s that time of the year again. Let’s welcome 2013 with open arms, meaningful (or meaningless) resolutions, and a new song that everyone can enjoy!
Trinity by Step (TC_Halogen) – Expert [68] / 8:01 / Classical / Soundtrack
This lengthy but epic orchestral piece will take you on a journey through a medley of songs from the Monster Hunter series. Despite its length, the steps created by TC_Halogen are reasonable and will provide many opportunities for you to enjoy this musical wonder.
I’ll keep this short, so without further ado, please join me in celebrating the new year!

Songs Of The Week (March 1st, 2012)
This week FFR has a nice selection of new levels from the more difficult side of the filemaking spectrum.
Our first two offerings are interesting songs from BMS artists cranky and Xi. We also have a collaboration chart from familiar faces Dossar and qqwref, and a brutal FGO from stepartist 0 to a classic Flashbulb song.
The Veteran’s song is listed in blue and will be made public in two weeks.
[March 2 Released Songs]
X-Y-Z by cranky (bmah) – Dance 2 (House) / Challenging / 1:52
Parousia by Xi (kjwkjw) – Purchased [1,800 Credits] (Apocalypsis Johannis) / Very Challenging / 2:09
Just why by No1r (Dossar vs. qqwref) – Funk (Drum’n Bass) / For Masters Only / 2:19
Lawn Wake II by The Flashbulb (0) – Secret [42,000 Credits] (Drill’n Bass) / For Gurus Only / 2:24
The veteran’s song from two weeks ago is now public:
Mahou no Oshigoto by MOSAIC.WAV (MrPopadopalis25) – Dance 2 (Akiba Pop) / For Masters Only / 2:12
If you have an opinion on these releases, drop a post in this thread to let the forums know.
That’s it for this update. Enjoy your arrow smashing!

Happy New Year everyone!
At the end of the last year, the Chrismas cross-event between Thirdstyle was done and FFR official tournament is going now, and we have another new song event for the new year today.
As well as the last year’s releases, we have some BEER songs today.
Here’s a list of today’s songs.. ALL of BEER songs are stepped by bmah, as always.
This year’s songs are relatively easier than the last year’s ones, overall.
beer(party)tune by valentia (bmah) – Hip-Hop (Hip-Hop) / Tricky / 1:29
BEER? FOR BATHING!! by LU (bmah) – Purchased (Drum’n Bass) / Challenging / 2:01
The price of BEER? FOR BATHING!! (credits) is the same with the number of this year.
We’ll have another song as a Token, so we’ll inform you in this article when it is added.
Enjoy your new year’s vacation!
*UPDATED* – sorry for the delay, now the token is officially added.
Get positive scores on all four BEER songs then check levelrank.php to get You Gotta B-E-E-R!.

Songs Of The Week (Jun 1, 2011)
Three more songs have been added to FFR today.
Homosexual Love Scene by Renard — Dance 2 / Challenging / 2:12
Camel by S.in — Secret [4,800] / Very Challenging / 2:24
Sleet by Torley Wong — Classical / Very Difficult / 3:11
FFR adds to its surprisingly small collection of Renard music with Homosexual Love Scene. Those of you people who enjoy instrument-assigned color gimmicks will get a nice little kick out of intentionally offset 48th notes to give a silly voice some representation. The stepchart itself is fairly spread out in difficulty, staying relatively calm and tame for a large majority but throwing some tricky bursts in between, and finishing off with some longer broken jumpstreams. This chart is brought to FFR by Niala, who brings his first official work of his own after collaborating with T-Force on Thrash the Plank.
Next, we have Camel, a slow paced, tribal-sounding song by S.in. Despite the slow tempo of the song, the song has a very powerful percussion line that gives it a driving intensity. On top of that, it is coupled with a chart that clearly accents everything that four arrows possibly can. This unique song has been brought to FFR by bmah, and you can find it in the Secret genre if you have 4,800 credits to spare.
And finally, we have another Torley Wong song to share with all of you. Like Rain and Snow, Sleet is a slow paced song that uses many grace notes and strong accents to provide you difficulty. If you hadn’t had enough of Torley Wong with Rain and Snow, you’ll definitely love Sleet, because it’s also stepped by the same person. Credit goes to Silvuh for this masterful sync and understanding of the song’s content. Snow is waiting for you in the Classical genre.
Enjoy!

Songs Of The Week (Mar 1, 2011)
Hate to interrupt your daily keysmashing routine, but there’s four new songs for you guys to play.
Badinerie by J.S. Bach, stepped by Bluearrowll — (G) Classical; (D) 8; (L) 1:18;
Champion Freeverse by Tonedeff, stepped by who_cares973 — (G) Hip-Hop; (D) 9; (L) 2:12;
Fly away -mix del matador-, stepped by bmah — (G) Purchased [1,500]; (D) 9; (L) 2:11;
Jamais Deux, stepped by DossarLX ODI — (G) Secret [55,000]; (D) 12; (L) 1:47;
Didn’t get enough of a piano fix last week with who_cares973′s chart for Waltz in the Rain? Maybe a dosage of true classical music can settle you addicts down. Badinerie, by J.S. Bach, has entered FFR’s classical genre today, coming with a somewhat tricky chart that pushes 32nd note bursts out at 126 BPM, enough to challenge the mid-level keysmashers clawing their way to the top. Chart is by Bluearrowll, his first in game, congratulations to him! Those of you hunting for the chart’s location will find it in the Classical genre.
How many of you remember the last time Tonedeff has had a song in game? If you’ve been clearing out your scores for the old legacy songs, you might have run into Shag at some point. Tonedeff makes a new apperance on FFR with one of our newest releases, Champion Freeverse. If you’re tired of dealing with the same old monotonous songs with perfect quantization, you’ll enjoy this colorfest of rap lyrics. Chart is by who_cares973, and it’s not quite his first, but we can congratulate him as well. You’ll find this in the Hip-Hop genre.
How many of you guys own a copy of DDR Supernova? For all of you who do, you might recognize this song. The original Fly Away made its debut in the popular home version of DDR, and this remix now makes it onto FFR with a fairly technical chart, featuring some mini-jacks and interesting jump patterns to strung together. This release is stepped by bmah, and you’ll find it in the purchased genre, for a small price of 1,500 credits.
Kkrusty fans are going to get a challenge this time around with this new release. Jamais Deux is our newest addition to the Secret genre, and unlike our other three releases, this chart boasts some massive difficulty, throwing some 240 BPM 16th note patterns with some jumps thrown in the mix as well. Good luck scoring well on this file, you guys are gonna need it. Chart is by DossarLX ODI. In order to play it, you’re going to need 55,000 credits in your bank.
Back to your keysmashing, all of you.
