Alright it's midnight my time anyway. If you've submitted at least one attack so far (So are Antori, OWA, TheSaxRunner, Precarious, Rushy, kainivy and UltimateMike) you can post a song name in the thread or ping me in discord.
1. Has to be a song not yet submitted as an attack
2. Once you submit it for this, -nobody- can submit it as an attack

And for people not in the discord, since I now go to sleep on the first raid boss to actually live through a day, I revealed hint number 4
Hint #4: To get the multiplier, some kind of numbers are having some kind of operation(s) performed on them
(Which means, to be clearest, that there is actually some kind and number of mathematical operations being carried out on [something] that at some point spits out an actual value from 0 to 14 which gets added to the base x1 for all attacks to give you the up to x15 multiplier, as opposed to basically consulting some chart of ranges mapping onto multipliers)Last edited by devonin; 07-4-2019, 09:16 AM.Comment

Alright so, two things happened.
One is that I accidentally made a...small...error in describing what my system did but as near as I can tell from everybody's posts and theories, it didn't actually cause anybody to go down incorrect rabbit holes.
The other thing is that Rushyrulz is our winner at figuring out the weakness of the boss, even though he thought he didn't get it because he messed up basic addition and thought he didn't get it.
Step 1 - Convert the song title into numbers A=1, B=2 etc
Step 2 - Sum the numbers
Step 3 - Express the sum modulo 15
I inadvertently described mod 15 as making numbers from 0-15 instead of 'making 15 numbers' which means counting 0 as a number so it's actually 0-14, meaning the max multiplier is actually x15 not x16 but since nobody until Rushy was doing anything with modulo, and he was actually doing mod15 anyway, and I don't think anybody said anything to imply they were working backwards from "specifically gives results of 0-15" I -HOPE- I didn't make anybody just smash something in rage.Comment

I threw an idea out there (converting letters to numbers), Rushy ran with it (Mod 15) and it's (to the best of my knowledge) correct?
1) sum of Numerical sun of letter values in song title (A=1 Z=26)
2) Mod 15 +1

Weakness:
Convert letters to numbers, (A=1, B=2, etc.) sum them up and take that number mod 15
add 1 to get final multiplier.

Completely straight up no bullshitting, I tried EXACTLY this last night thinking some sort of modulus needed to be used in order to ensure that multiplier range, but I used mod 16 given the range that was established and....clearly that didn't work.
I hadn't been very vocal about my thought process in the thread, I'm aware, but this is basically the first thing I tried after coming back here and looking at all the new data + hints. (and then spent the better portion of an hour using mod 16 in combination with some stats that hadn't been considered on the spreadsheet TSR posted)

I don't mean to discredit rushy getting this though, kudos to him. Just a little frustrated that I dismissed what the solution ended up being very early upon revisiting the thread after more submissions rolled in.
I do find it pretty funny however that he was using mod 15 when he technically shouldn't have been yet mod 15 was what was used to discern the multipliers lmao
