I'm actually not very happy about this list, to be honest. Also, I'm not saying that I should be on it, but I definitely feel like others should. bmah taking first place is awesome to me. Kommi only had two files THIS year before the votes were closed, and one was a collaboration file that was released only three days before voting was closed. People are just sucking up to Chris. I'm not going to deny that he's a good simfile artist, but he most certainly doesn't deserve nine votes for 2011 for Bogey at your Six.

Jesus christ, I'm so happy that the votes went this way. I've sat here on ThirdStyle for the past week or so, watching Kayla get frustrated day after day because all she's trying to do is make the site a better place. And yet, there are people who continue to act like pricks. Shameless/selfless plug - the reason why I've been wanting to leave the site isn't because the community as a whole, but moreso because of the way people are acting. The whole Indeed Engine kinda pushed me away because I felt horribly that I personally felt like I screwed Velocity over, the extreme and uncalled for hate towards bmah's charts, and then the lolTS immaturity really put me on the edge. To make matters worse, a few people that I considered friends really decided to change their attitudes. While FFR staff is one huge team, I can't help but feel like Kayla is the one taking users on and responding to their complaints/concerns on a day to day basis, even trying to resolve things one on one with users privately on AIM conversations, even if it takes hours.

Beat out by one vote, Kayla. What a shame. Hammy would be a decent candidate if he was a bit more active in the community (not active on the site itself, because he's on daily). As for myself, well, I won't say anything detailed in an effort to avoid opinionated responses back and forth. I personally don't feel like I could handle a position of administration on FFR. I don't have the managerial skills. I could make for a decent moderator again if I was given the chance, but I like to believe that I've burned my bridges, which is also another reason why I've been a lot more active on ThirdStyle. Kayla would make a great admin because she knows how to keep everything in check, even if it is a bit aggressive sometimes.

Best FFR file from 2011:

YES, this actually won. Get wrecked. It's a little sad to see that Zombie Sunset didn't even get nominated because of the release timing, but anyone who is saying "lol" to this winning obviously isn't taking into account the amount of things this file actually has. It packs difficulty, it packs color manipulation, it packs diverse technicality, an overall great song (somewhat humorous), and the best part about it - it packs replay factor because of how hard it is to piece a perfect score on it. VERY deserving of this and I'm happy to see this win.
Worst FFR file from 2011:

Fall Silently is far from the worst file this year, but everyone is on the "hate Dossar" bandwagon. I'm actually quite surprised to not see Grist up there - it's not a bad file from a technical aspect, but christ it's a very frustrating file.

Yeah, these tabulations were horrible. I do believe taking that link out well before the voting even started. I think months before...Yeah...like when you go into Search and you're searching for a username, it gives you drop down choices on who you are looking for.
If someone tries to put in a user name spelled incorrectly, there would be a small pop-up saying "User name doesn't exist" and the user name spelled wrong would be highlighted red.
Again...just a thought. People would get some additional time to vote or have the voting period moved closer to the new year (E.g. December 1 through December 28). You would only need to post the results (and maybe some thoughts).Last edited by DotKritic; 12-25-2011, 12:44 PM.Comment
