There's a fine balance in deleting posts. If you delete too much, suddenly a lot of things won't make sense, people will lack context and demand to know what happened, and basically that will fire up even more drama...but directed at staff in regards to how the forums are handled.
A lot of stuff here should not have been deleted. They might not have been the greatest posts made, but that's different from inflammatory posts that you believe will continue. Deleting frenzy sucks.Comment

makes me wonder if people are actually differenting good/bad files properly as opposed to files they were good at/files they sucked at - they're not one and the same by any means
Middie has only more recently made attempts at being nicer. I've noticed that he's a lot more likeable now.
But he's sort of an acquired taste, if you know what I mean. And from that, one can't expect everyone to understand Middie from that point of view. So I'm not surprised by the votes.Last edited by bmah; 12-29-2011, 10:53 AM.Comment

not really, it doesn't suggest that the dislike may have been from some other sort of reason that doesn't relate to the file itself
forcing someone to play a song for a tournament is an extraneous influence however - notice how Fall Silently's on the top there (not to mention it was labelled as a 9 first; if it was labelled as a 10, there wouldn't have been much of an issue. It was also the first song for D4, so song placement got people bewildered - none of this has to do with the song itself)
There's no way for me to prove someone's vote, but the tournament seems highly suggestive of such an influence. That's all I'm saying.
