Vash is a good example of a person who needs a warning.

The warning system does work pretty well. Most people only have 1 or 2 warnings. But things are starting to get a little out of hand. For example, some people in this thread (I won't name names) have been picking fights and throwing flames in this thread.

BE WARNED (lol) THAT I AM ABOUT TO GET MORE LIBERAL ABOUT WHAT DESERVES A WARNING.

I've already started "pre-warning" people - telling them that their behavior doesn't warrant a warning yet but if they keep it up it will. This is not a substitute for a warning - this is a wake up call for forum regulars that previously overlooked behavior is now unacceptable and they don't get a pass because they're old-timers. People who still openly violate the rules will get warned.

I must agree with Anti. I really haven't seen a downfall with the forums. People come and leave; it's dynamic, so just because it isn't like what it was a year ago doesn't mean it's bad.

As of late, I haven't seen many spamwhores. Moogy and emccky stopped, and the other bad ones haven't been around in a while (evilbean, musical master). There haven't been administration problems (that at least I think is a problem) since Arch left (not to say anything about him, that's just an observation). There haven't been many idiots around deserving a ban, aside from CoryMalkovich, but that was dealt with, and he really didn't cause much of a ruckus.

As for the CT forum, I think it's been really good as of late. We've been having heated arguments, yes, but that's definitely better than having nothing. After Spec left it was dead, but now it's been going well.

I must agree with Jursey about the chat in the way that it needs to stay. There needs to be many more modifications, of course, and many more moderators (more mods in the chat wouldn't create possible conflicts that it would in the forums), but it really should stay.

As for the garbage bin, I think it should stay the way it is: a place where anyone can post anything (barring heavily illegal things) without problem. So people can raise their postcount here, so what? So long as they don't bring the postwhoring to the other forums, that's fine. Even if they did, it wouldn't be the garbage bin's influence on them.

I don't think the forum needs more mods. I say that because I think they're doing their jobs just fine, they aren't overloaded with things to do, and because I can't think of many people whom I would like to see in a moderator's position.

Anyway, that's just my seven months worth.

Yeah, you're not helping the situation at all, Vash.

I remember when I first started posting, there was definate postwhoring, but it was done in hilarious ways. (example: Moogy) These days, there is far more postwhoring, very little of it being funny. I agree with flypie from page 1 about how awesome the a0 forums are.

I never found Moogy's postwhoring funny. But, in most ways seeing olol as a post generally doesn't come out as funny.
