Screw the graphics I could care less if there are barely any good games to play on the system.

There are good games on both systems. They're also good original games on both systems. It comes down to personal taste and there is nothing wrong with that. The PS3 simply does more in terms of functionality, it's not really arguable.

also shamoo, notice that square didn't give any news of the final fantasy XIII this E3, and suddenly they started to love the DS soo much that they changed the dragon quest franchise to the DS only, and also a sequel of final fantasy XII and tactics. who knows maybe square is thinking of selecting another console for the big XIII.

and shamoo you are outnumbered 5 to 1. the number of gamers that support the wii (wich are hardcore since they are in a gaming forum) tells me that the wii is having succes in any possible way.

Square Enix follows the money where they can make the most profit. But even then they still aren't abandoning the PSP or Sony for that matter. Take a look at Final Fantasy: Crisis Core and Final Fantasy: Dissidia. Now take in the amount of time needed to create games for each platform. The DS creation time is way shorter which leads to more games. The PSP games that I've mentioned have Voice acting Advent children quality FMVs and PS2 quality ingame graphics. Also they were more quiet than usual because they like to reveal things in there home land. At that happens in september thanks to the Tokyo Game Show aka TGS.

To Make It Short...it depends on What the overall amount of Gamers Like....

Personally I'd love to See the PS3 Kick some arse....mostly cause I love whoring RPGs

But Halo3 will introduce new FPS lovers and the Wii will just be to gosh darn fun to put down with it's controler !

The original purpose of the thread was to help someone choose a system to buy. How can you answer that question when you don't know what type of game this person likes or is interested in. The best course of action was for him to do his research and decide for himself.

ok if they are so far with the game proccess how come they didn't made a new trailer at least or give more information (like they did with final fantasy XII) . well since im a final fantasy fan i would buy the ps3 just for those 2, im just saying that the news of all the final fantasy XIII just dissapeared. and also yeah square is giving a lot of attetion to the DS making never before seen remake of final fantasy III and the sequel of final fantasy XII (call it spin-off if you want) and the exclusive dragon quest IX and monsters oh and also final fantasy crystal chronicles (wich also support voice acting). well although they are not leaving the PSP aside they are supporting a lot the DS

I'd choose the Wii. Sure the graphics will make the game look nice and all, but the gameplay is what most people are looking for, and the Wii completely dominates that area.

What game are you talking about with your first sentence. If you're talking about Final Fantasy Crisis Core they did release new trailers, two infact both in japaenese. If you're talking about Dissidia check out the official Dissida site for the Anniversary game site. If you're talking about Versus or 13 they both said how far they were in dev status at E3 and they have been releasing new screenshots. Crystal Chronicles DS supports voice acting yes but what other DS game does? Case in point games that require voice acting take a long time to cast becuase they are usually of great quality. Any company can pop out sprite games. Square does it everytime with FF 1 and 2 lol. But yes the DS has been getting more attention because that's where the money is especially in japan. I've said that. They don't really love anything other than money oh and creating epic games.

also you are wrong some DS games (luminous arc for example) have voice acting, of course not the best cuality. but anyway as graphics voice acting is just an extra and i have seen lots of games with good voice acting but bad gameplay (wich is not the case of square-enix of course)

So the Wii has everything the PS3 excluding things such as, HDMI output,, Wireless Gigabit ethernet, various card memory stick readers, an actual hard drive, a blu ray player that plays both games and movies, USB 2.0 ports, and Bluetooth capabilities. Exactly the same.

Yes I'm sure other games DS games have voice acting but do they have it to the extent of games like Square Enix published titles? Yes voice acting is an extra but it does pile on the development time. Not only is there lip syncing to think about but different audio languages required from actors. And we have all seen games with bad voice acting xD "Jill, here's a lockpick. It might be handy if you, the master of unlocking, take it with you."

The DS does have potential because it's so different which allows ideas never even thought of yet, and yes the DS makes money because it's good. It's just different and cheap which is why it's successful and selling. I'm not being ignorant =/ I never said the Wii or DS were bad.

I don't give a **** which one is better, I buy the one that has games I (that means me, myself, and I and NO ONE ELSE) want to play. I have a Wii because it has games I want to play. The PS3 has given me little reason to buy it based on my own personal tastes, but if future titles come out on it that I want, I'll seriously consider getting one. Same thing with the 360. This doesn't mean I think the Wii is necessarily better than the other two, it's just the one I prefer to own at this time.

But if you REALLY want me to pick the best system, I say it's the goddamn SNES. Damn straight.

Well It could make a game better like this. Let's use Unreal Tournament 3 for the PS3 as an example. The USB 2.0 ports allow the use of mouse and keyboard in the FPS on a console for arguably the best set up for FPS games, the bluetooth allows the use of bluetooth headsets for voice communication or even wireless bluetooth keyboards, the hard drive allows for mods and user created and official content to be downloaded and saved and played online, HDMI output helps you view the Unreal Engine and all of it's glory in 1080P on your plasma or bravia or whatever fancy pants tv you have, card readers could allow you to transport you're FPS keyboard and mouse setup configurations for when you play the game at a friends house, Gigabit Ethernet could allow you to wirelessly host a LAN server for you and your friends with PS3s to play on.

And just imagine buying Spiderman 3 on blu-ray with the game and movie both of the same disk, both being playable on the PS3 at a bargain price.

Also I'm not mad or anything so it's kool lol. I think everyone should like the features of the DS
