Let's break this down ok.



The PS3 is rapidly increasing in sales and is making a vast improvement. This coming fall and winter have godly releases for the PS3. Not only that the 60GB version of the PS3 is now 499 when it was previously 599. Your bluray statement is pretty pointless null and void when considering EVERY developer that has developed for the X360 has complained about the little amount of storage space that is on DVD9's. Team Ninja and millions of other developers have stated Blu-ray is greatly appreciated. Not only that Blu-ray is outselling HD-DVD on 3 to 1 basis now and blu-ray has more support, plus blockbuster's don't even carry HD-DVD but they do in fact, carry blu-ray.

Then how come the Wii has more than doubled the sales of the PS3?
The Blu-Ray is stupid, because that is what caused the ridiculously high price.
And Sony is LOSING money every time they sell a console, because the blu ray player costs about 400$ more than the console price.

It's cheap and innovative and it's the only console out right now that offers a completely different experience. The Wii is half the price of a PS3. Microsoft is also losing money every time a console is sold, it's because both of those consoles, the PS3 and 360 are pushing technology to it's arguable limits.

If Blu-Ray catches on like VHS was to DVDs then you will see a price drop in the players and PS3 as the drives become more mainstream. Microsoft wasn't confident enough to put the HD-DVD addon as a default drive because they didn't want to potentially lose if Blu-Ray or even a completely new format takes over. And everyone knows the Blu-Ray drive isn't the only thing that jacked up the price. It goes hand in hand with the RSX chip, and the Emotion Chip found in the PS2 for maximum backwards capabilities unlike the X360 which emulates previous games. Also take into account every single PS3 comes with a harddrive, and the 600$ version that is now $500 comes with built in WiFi, and last but not least, HDMI ports and Media inputs of various storage formats.

The PS3 does more than any other console. You're paying for power and mass multimedia usage. If you think it's expensive you're right because it is. But one thing that it isn't is would be that it's overpriced.

Sony copied Nintendo. Thats just a simple fact.

and they failed miserably at it. The Nintendo Wii is just plain better then both of the consoles. No one really cares if the game looks like its from real life. As long as it's fun and you've never played something like it before, almost everyone will like it.

also shamoo, notice that square didn't give any news of the final fantasy XIII this E3, and suddenly they started to love the DS soo much that they changed the dragon quest franchise to the DS only, and also a sequel of final fantasy XII and tactics. who knows maybe square is thinking of selecting another console for the big XIII.

and shamoo you are outnumbered 5 to 1. the number of gamers that support the wii (wich are hardcore since they are in a gaming forum) tells me that the wii is having succes in any possible way.

There shouldn't be a debate as to which console is superior. The reason the PS3 isn't selling well is because there's little for it to compete with the XBOX360 right now. However, just because it isn't doing as well as the Wii doesn't mean it doesn't deserve to exist because there are some people who have the PS3 and love it. Consider also that unique and innovative doesn't always makes game more fun. Some people like the PS3 and 360 brand of gameplay and prefer it over Wii's gameplay. Why fault people for that?

Also, just because 5 out of 6 people arguing on a semi-Bemani related board favor the Wii doesn't make your argument stronger. In fact, assuming such is a logical fallacy.

yeah it's true some people like the old controls than the motion ones, but there's a bigger number of people who like the wii, and a lot of games are including the posibility to play with the odl gamecube controler or the VC controler, so it has a lot of options for everyone

yeah, and this semi-bemani related board is about who is better, and the people of the board speak and vote for the wii, and very few vote for the ps3.

It doesn't matter which one is more popular. The point is trying to prove which one is BETTER based on that is pointless since it's purely based on personal taste.

So more people here prefer the Wii. So the Wii is outselling its competition.

The only people who should care are the companies that are making money off of it. The gaming communities of the world, including this one, should try to concentrate on enjoying their own games than trying to prove the superiority of their system of choice.

The PS3 has the potential to be a GREAT system, but Sony hasn't done a great job thus far making people want to buy it. It offers very little that the 360 doesn't already have, only without the strong library of games. They have to hustle within the next year to get on track or else I fear Sony's future in gaming may be in jeopardy.

yeah well since we can't trust in personal taste we trust in popular opinion. is that simple

besides the objective of the developers is to be popular so they sell a lot of their products, the wii acomplished that point and i won't deny the 360 also did it, but the ps3 is not doing it.
