The flaw with that plan is that, honestly, if I were new and played with the vets and got screwed I would feel inferior and most likely wouldn't want to play a game that seemed impossible to win at.

Well it's unfortunate that you'd take not doing so well your very first game ever as a reason to decide to never play again. I'd take it as a challenge to improve and be eager to play again.

Not everyone is going to react in the same way, so trying to plan based on the imagined reactions of people who aren't even here yet seems silly.

1/ The past many games have had huge amounts of inactivity
2/ It is becoming difficult to fill two games at once

How is putting it down into only one game not something that potentially solves both of those problems? With one game you don't have to scrounge to get people who are probably going to be inactive since they clearly didn't want to play badly enough to sign up.

At least be open-minded enough to give it a fair shot. If the new players react so horribly to it, then we can split them again. Nothing needs to be permanent here.

Well, there may be a small issue if the games are merged. I don't really feel comfortable talking to the public about it, so I'll PM the council members individually about it.

Also, just pitching you guys an idea but feel free to recruit people to the game. I think the most notable members of current of recent jTWGs that can be bumped right up into TWG would be DrKirth, Xception, Kekeb, and a few others. If we stick them in our games then we can get new players to play TWG. I've been dying to get some form of permission to make a CC thread about it, as so may people are in CC as opposed to the rest of the forums.

I'm pretty sure you don't need to ask someone's permission to post a thread on the forums.

Also, I assume your issue involves the fact that with only one game, you and argo explicitly could never play at the same time. That's something we're pretty much all aware of, so if that was it, I don't see why it would have needed to be hushhush.

Whatever happens, happens.
I'm personally with the merge idea. If we had new guys playing with vets, the vets are normally alot more active, and would thus help keep the new guys active as well.

On the topic of my mystery game: You'll just have to wait and see, but if my predictions are correct, it'll be one heck of a game if people participate enough. Some players may have activity as a particular priority...

On the topic of the merger: I think we should at least try it. If there's a really adverse reaction to it, then we should stop it, but I don't think that will happen. The vets could help make the newer players better by example, and the games might be more active. It's our best option.

Speaking of games, I'd love to be able to host the next TWG. It'll be my first time hosting, and I have a great story line idea.

Are we actually merging TWG and jTWG or leaving them alone? I'd like to be able to come to a consensus on this.
