Not sure if this has come up yet, but when someone is insta'd, can they still post until the host makes the official death post; or are they dead from the insta instantaneously?

Yeah, that's what i mean. Impersonation of a role is ok, impersonation of a player is not.

They are dead as soon as the last vote is cast. No one could change a vote to save them at that point.

You don't have to stop posting though. At least, I have never seen a game where someone stopped posting after their insta.

Edit: No, I actually just thought about what you were asking and you can't post after you are insta'ed. Ignore the aforementioned statement.

Also, we should add to the rules:

5c. You are not permitted to give another player your password under any circumstances.

If there's A LOT of changing in vote, and it's unclear whether or not a person has been insta'd, they should still have the chance to vote. But if it's clear, as in if someone tallied the votes and said "Person A is insta'd," then they should be smart enough NOT to post. If someone fails to notice that a person is insta'd and is not mentioned in the thread, that person should not be penalized. Although, it's a player's responsibility to be fully aware of the game. Just don't let it happen. If you know you're dead, don't post.

This is pretty much common sense, I don't think it needs to be restated.

k just read through that mammoth of a conversation

rzr: you openly admitted that all your suspicions during this TWG were based on argo's irl reaction. We've let you two play together, but we've never said that it was alright for you two to talk about twg irl. You should be glad no one wants to ban you

xception: if you don't allow those html documents to be used in the game, then someone will lose all of there convo's as soon as they close the IM/sign off.

manti: could you change the green letters to bold and then PM it to me, because my video card doesn't show colored text =\

                Did someone say drama?

IRL rule should be enforced, etc., I've been in a game where it's occurred, etc.

Movement to ban argo and rzr for a single game.

This'll end the arguments and ensure the rule is enforced.

If both of you really had to play, you could split 1 to TWG and another to jTWG, otherwise, it's not allowed.

And I hope people don't make another 5 page discussion over this movement

Note that argo was also dead when rzr did most of his questioning.

A lot of the rules are common sense.

Also, I was re-reading through some of the rules you added and I whole heartedly disagree with this:

There are still means of communication to a player (i.e. AIM) even if that player is banned temporarily. If the player is somehow banned permanently, a substitution will occur.
If a player is banned for a short while, they should not be participating in the game. That is ban evasion. If it is only for a day or two, then they should take the phantoms and not receive seerings or whatever else and they can resume play when and if they are still in the game.

Instead we should just clearly add that no alts are permitted for use in a TWG. (We can make an exception for fic )

                    Same reasoning applies to this:

                      Re: TWC Rules, Policies, Etc.

Would it be worthwhile to set up a rule that spoke specifically to ban length? If someone gets a one day ban, chances are that at most they'll miss one night or one day, probably not both. In that case, they should probably be allowed to stay in the game, and either take their phantom, or miss their chance to use a night power. They can still be talking on AIM, and if they trust someone, get them to post logs as a proxy way of posting.

Bans longer than that should probably just automatically equal replacement if possible, and death if not. If someone gets a week ban, the ONLY way they can participate in the game is by evading, or being allowed to vote/use powers over AIM and not PM.

If you are banned for any reason, you are obliged to contact the host IMMIDIATELY to inform them of the length of your ban. If your ban is for one day only, you will be allowed to continue playing, though will be unable to make use of any voting or night powers that come up while you are banned. If your ban is for longer than one day, at the host's sole discretion you may be replaced or killed. You may not under any circumstances engage in ban evasion to continue playing while site banned.

That's a really good idea, devonin. No reason to take them out of the game entirely for just one day, but at the same time, we can't exactly advocate ban evasion.

I have a special question for a council member that I am quiet unsure about. I need someone to PM me if their up to the challenge. Also, the only reason I'm posting it like this and not directly asking is because it's related to my current game and if any players in it see it I could get into trouble.
