Against Mespirit, I got it down to the red using a Golbat with Mean Look and promptly ran away. Then I just chased it to get in Hypnosis and False Swipe, then spent the next few days chasing it while using Quick Balls.

Did the same for Cresselia except I skipped the Mean Look phase and went straight to the False Swiping.

P.S. Good tip...Dugtrio will keep Cresselia from running with Arena Trap, but won't work on Mespirit since it Levitates. Wobbuffet will work, but it can't attack directly, but it will keep the runner in battle long enough for you to throw some Balls at it.

For those who wanted a Manaphy Egg, It is one of the easiest to get get yet longest. I am never trading mine alway besides I don't know my friend code.
To get a Manaphy Egg you need to play Pokemon Ranger.

the problem with that is that you need 2 ds consoles to transfer it. So unless you have a friend with a DS you are screwed.

That's an amazing task. I remember it was difficult collecting all 150 in the original Blue and Red version, but I was limited with my 2nd grade mind.

I just got about 20 new pokes this week by playing through LeafGreen and migrating. Got two of the three legendary birds.

On another note, finding a MagmaBooster is IMPOSSIBLE.

For those who are breeding, get a Pokemon with Flame Body ability. Carrying it with the eggs in your party reduces the amount of steps it takes the eggs to hatch. Serebii says it halves it, but in reality it seems to be a random percentage or something instead... but in any case, it's a lot faster.

I use Slugma for Flame Body. I forget what else can have it.

Either Flame Body/Magma Armor will work.

EDIT: Also, I tap up repeatedly while on the Cycling Road to hatch eggs more quickly with Magcargo in the party. Usually works in less than 5 minutes.

My perfect team is nearly complete. All I need is a damn Magnimite and It will be a perfect competitive team. I think so anyway.

Dang im still trying to make my team even though i havent been playing much too bad i dont have fire red i just need an elekid and a growlithe and i'll be set o and some water type pokemon that i cant remember its name...not for sure i just need a pretty good water type any ideas?

Milotic is a great Water-type, but acquiring it is balls hard. You need to find a Feebas, which is REALLY hard, and you need to do some smart Poffin-making to evolve it.

Gyarados is decent and easy to get, but moves like Hyper Beam, Surf, and Hydro Pump are less effective since its Special Attack is godawful. Also Thunderbolt will annihilate it.

Swampert is decent if you can get one since its bulky and has good Attack power.
