I've been playing this game nonstop since I've got it about a week ago. I love how there are new places to discover that are often tucked away from normal sight. For example, I started surfing and somehow ended up at this place called Fuego Ironworks (behind the flower fields). That place had some nice wild pokemon to catch like Floatzel.

I have a quick question about the Mansion near the great marsh. On either side of the mansion are maids that are blocking doors; they say that the areas behind them are "secret and off-limits." What are they hiding?

yo, im getting a new DS (i was a dumb ass and got rid of my first. >.<; ) and im trying to decide either to get pokemon diamond or pearl.
any ideas which to get?

Doesn't really matter which. If you care about what kinds of Pokemon are in each version, then maybe you should check up on www.serebii.net

wow this has gotten alot more complicated than when I played pokemon.
it was just red and blue when i was into it.
i might just get back into it again... :P

12 hours on it so far (I don't have too much time to play it for ages). Got my pengun starter up to his 3rd evolution, pretty cool. Also got Luxio (or whatever he is called at the start) up to his 3rd evolution, awesome too.

Also evolved some twig and bee things I found on honey trees but they aren't too awesome.

I need to know something, just can it be clarified that, in Diamond, the following can or cannot happen.

- Can Scyther evolve into Scizor (however it's spelt) without trading?
- Can Haunter evolve into Gengar without trading?
- Can Graveler evolve into Golem without trading?
- Can Onix evolve into Steelix without trading?
- Can Slowbro evolve into Slowking without trading?
- Can Poliwhirl evolve into Poliwrath without trading?
- Can you get Machomp through evolution instead of trading?

The simple answer is no for the most part. HOWEVER, I posted a little trick about how to evolve trader pokes without actually trading on the previous page or so, but you need to be able to access Nintendo WiFi.

Also...

-Steelix can be found in the wild (Iron Island, Victory Road)
-Poliwhirl evolves into Poliwrath by way of Water Stone, it evolves into Politoed when traded with a King's Rock attached.

EDIT: OH and Slowpoke evolves into Slowking by trading with the King's Rock. Slowpoke evolves into Slowbro at like level 37 or so, but Slowbro cannot evolve into Slowking.

Im still new to the whole WiFi friend code thing. But I have all 493 pokemon in my Diamond. If someone could contact me by PM or Aim (ludaddr) And explain how it works, Im willing to trade whatever pokemon your looking for.

I hate how you need a wireless router or a Nintendo Router to go on Wifi, because I can't get my friend code. At least I can register other people's friend code in any Pokemon Center's Basement on the first person once in.

You need wireless internet access, which means you need a wireless router. IF you don't have such a router, go out and buy the Nintendo WiFi USB Connector. It's about 40 bucks at most electronics retailers. It will work on any PC with an internet connection.

Go into the bottom floor of any Pokemon Center to get a Pal Pad. It will be placed in your Key Items pocket. In there is your Friend Code (which you will only receive after you've connected to Nintendo WiFi at least once with the Pokemon game inserted). You also register other people's names and Friend Codes so you may trade or battle with them. You will not be able to communicate with anyone unless you both have each other's Friend Codes registered.

For WiFi, trading and battling works just like the old games. If you're using the Global Trade Station (located in Jubilife City), the system is way different.

You can find your friend code by going into the Pal Pad, which is in the Key Items section in your Bag.

I need to go on my game later to get my things, I'm trying to get a Manaphy, Darkrai, Shaymin, and Arceus, but I haven't seen them. >.>

They are all event pokemon so yeah in that case you can either get some haxed versions or play the waiting game.
