Ah, I see what you mean now ObserveR. I guess that is a better way to do it if you want to go straight to making a cool team from the start. I always tend to play the way I did when I first played Blue, which was to just catch everything and use whatever seems to be the most useful at the time. On a rare occasion the team would get a member replaced, but for the most part it sticks around until I beat the game and start thinking on a more cool or strategic team.
I actually very rarely have a fire type in my regular lineup. Maybe it's because you don't find many early on in the game, but I always found other ways around getting type advantages on fire-weak without fire.
My current Diamond in-game team is Empoleon, Staraptor, Luxray, Golem, Alakazam, and Roselia (this one is less stable in his position on my team; he's useful for catching Pokemon and stuff but he's kinda weak compared to the other powerhouses I'm used to using).
Anyway, as for the Eevee, I dunno if I was feeling selfish at that time or what, but I'll just go ahead and breed you one for free. It's not that much of a pain to do, as long as I don't start getting requests from every person on here. XD
It should be pretty easy to evolve it into Glaceon. All you do is let it level up next to the "Ice Rock". I haven't seen that yet, so it's not all that early on in the game, but once you find it (I'm guessing it's in that snowy town way up north) it won't be hard at all to evolve him. The one to evolve into Leafeon is really early on, somewhere in the Eterna Forest.
