Why not? Think, the veterans are always going to want explicit games with crazy roles. How is a person brand new to the game supposed learn like that?

And what do you mean by "merge"? Isn't that what I just explained? As I stated above, training new users in that setting would be extremely difficult.

It sucks though because a lot of the vets will squish the new players. Although I am proposing the re-merge, perhaps it would be better to attract new players? I tried credits, but that wasn't so successful. I have a few ideas, does anyone else?

read all of the stickies, don't edit your posts, it would be a good idea to read through an old TWG or jTWG to see how it goes

you can sign up in the jTWG player sighn-ups by typing the word in and bolding it and also say your AIM name

if you have any questions, ask any of the older members and/or the host

1. Merge TWG's and jTWG's, until it is determined that both can co-exist once again.

2. Place a hold on TWG's until it is determined that there is sufficient interest to play again.

Here's what I think, even though it probably won't change anything.

I propose we merge the current games, with the game from the TWG being played, as there are more members signed up for that one at the moment. (TWG has 8 while jTWG has 7. The jTWG host can choose between signing up or co-hosting.) From this game until further notice, we only run one TWG at a time. However, allow newbies to sign up for the TWG games, but only if there are available spots and they show a legitimate self-propelled interest. (This means no bribing them or asking them to play.)

By doing this, we will simultaneously solve the current inactivity plague, while still allowing new players to try their hand at the game.

Hosts-to-be should keep their games relatively simple; if there are too many items/roles, then the newbies will be put off by the complexity, and the veterans playing the game will most likely become inactive anyway. I'd recommend 12-16 players in each game with an optional item system if it floats your boat. Make games too long, and anybody that's left out won't want to play when there are spots.

How's that sound?
