It is quiet, the night.
A silence that is broken by the barking
of a restless dog.
A sad song is sung by the fowl of the night.
It is quiet again.
It is at this hour that my brain
strikes at me.
For quite sometime now,
melancholy dreams and horrible thoughts have invaded my sleep.
But the most horrendous of all is
her image.
The thought of her tears through me like a dagger.
The very moment i met her i was cursed,
for she holds my heart ransom but
i will never reach her demands.
Soon, very soon, the quiet of the night
will be broken, the light of day will
consume the night and i will be free.

They are dead:

As dead as the waveless ocean
that i go to every summer.
The clouds hide the sunlight
that once shined so bright.
Yet i return back
Back to that lifeless ocean,
back to the sunless skies.
The wind blows,
A chill runs down my spine,
walking the deserted beach alone.
In my walk, the thoughts of the sun
shining and the waves
crashing towards the beach fills my mind.
I remember the life that was once there...now gone.
Gone because for awhile i did not return.
Then the clouds came, and the sun was blotted out, shining ever so often.
The wind blows but no waves are made.
I return because i cant leave... I hope
for the day the clouds leave and the waves return... a dream;

They are dead...her eyes, when they look into mine.

And they lived happily ever after.
these are the words that
as children end our stories.
these are the words that
we learn will never end our lives.
As humans we hold onto these words,
living our lives, so we can have
the happy ending.
Walking around waiting for love at first sight
not realizing that its right in front of you.

Then its too late.
Too late, because starting over is nowhere near.
Too late because her eyes show no emotion
when they look into yours.
Too late because you let her slip away
and time has not been your friend.
And they lived_____Ever after
apart.
