I think I might have minor tendonitis on my left ring finger(weird since I don't use that finger for ffr) It was hurting a bit around June 18th, so I started taking it more easy hoping it would go away faster. I felt this same pain when I did the game whore competition(April 1st), and I feel like that is what triggered this, but it went away immediately, when I got it again in June I figured it would be the same. It has definitely improved, but I know now that it is most likely tendonitis. I didn't want to say anything because I thought it would go away, and it seemed like you all had so much hope for me to improve very fast, so I didn't want to let you guys down... well since it is getting better, I feel optimistic, but this official tourney is really putting a standstill on my recovery. I'm not sure how far I can take it, I literally can't do the round 3 intro trills anymore because it is aggravating it. This isn't goodbye, in fact sometimes my finger feels better when I play easy songs, but level 80 songs are a bit too much to keep playing. I can play them, but I can't whore them. So if I fail early(I will still try) in the official tourney, I am going to focus fully on my recovery. I have been focusing really hard on my workouts and trying to become professional athlete status, so hopefully that will help me heal faster. Don't worry, I probably won't be out for too long, I recover pretty fast for everything else, I don't see how this will be different. My index and middle finger on my left hand feel fine, it's just weird how it's on the left part where my pinkey and ring finger is, but it makes sense too because I can feel it when I play. Sorry I hid it and acted like I am invincible, it's just the way I am. I will never give up on ffr, or any of my other goals. Just writing this to let you guys know that after the official especially, I will be taking it very easy, until I can build back up slowly. I will still check ffr every day and talk to all my great friends, don't worry I'm here to stay! I feel like I can still do well in the offical if I pass this round, I can play like a half hour a day and it's fine, but anymore and I'm out, and I'm not going to push it. At least my right hand feels stronger then ever. Well at this point I'm basically just talking in circles so I will stop now.
Edit(Aug 11) Feeling a bit better for sure, probably about 25 percent better then when I first posted this. Also, yikes my avg rank already dropped by 5, you guys have been busy :o

  1. Good luck with your recovery.

  2. damnnnn
no need to apologize for anything. Hope you do recover fast and don't push yourself too hard.

  3. jerry, health is a million times more important. there is nobody counting on you to achieve "x" goals on this game. when i compliment you it's not meant to be putting pressure on you. continue to take it easy until you are 100% recovered please <3

  4. Are you using this hand to hold the mouse? Just curious.

  5. thanks guys :D
and no I use the mouse with my right hand, clicking isn't a problem with me. I'm pretty sure it first started from the gamewhore day because my left hand started hurting especially but I pushed it quite a bit and it hurts in that area again, it was just dormant or something for a couple months and then all of a sudden out of nowhere it hits me instantly and sticks around

  6. yea i quit for months. haven't felt that pain at all since i quit.

  7. Oh shit I didn't see this. I'm really sorry to hear about this man. I was literally on the way to cheer you on to improve your score, but you definitely need to put health first. Awein couldn't have put it better honestly. Health is way more important than FFR. Good to hear you'll still talk to us though!
    Get well soon bro.

  8. Dude I really hope you recover fast. You definetly deserve to make it farther in the tourney. You're supposed to be kicking my butt lol.

  9. I know this was such unfortunate timing, and just in general. I was always fine when I played before and never felt problems till that gamewhore competition, so I think now I will just not enter one of those again, when I recover I will just build my tendon strength up again in my left hand and just play normally. I still know I have a ton of potential, before this happened I wasn't slowing down at all. I'm sure it will all work out soon enough. Thanks for all your concern everyone, it really means a lot that you all understand

  10. Recover fast and then kick everyones butt :D

  11. I hope you get better bbycakes. :3 I'm gonna miss you wrecking stuff and rivaling me in the tournament. (lol we're both in yellow) But yeah, don't leave. You're an amazing person to talk to, and one hell of a competitor. I dun wanna see you quit so, get better. Ily. <3 (ps i have 2 fractured fingers and stitches on my hand right now, so i totally feel you on the pain shit xD)

  12. trust me when I say I will never leave, rhythm games are my favorite type of game for sure, I'm pretty much obsessed obviously :p
Honestly the way I'm recovering, if I lose this round in the tourney and stop completely to recover, I feel like I should be good around october, could be sooner but that's just my prediction. I see a ton of people post online that it took them a year to get over it but I have always been fast at recovery

  13. Health comes first. I like your dedication -- hope you get better quick!

  14. damn that sucks man! just outta curiosity what kind of pro athlete you trying to be?

  15. I want to be an MMA fighter of some sort. Even if I don't make it in ufc or anything I just want to be raw and see how far I can go :p

  16. Haha that's pretty sick dude. do it up!

  17. wish you the best jerry ;D

  18. same thing happened to me back in my hardcore gamewhoring days and i quit for a year. :/ hope it's not that bad for you.
