Yes, this is a real question. As of now I am 13 and on youtube, I never see people that are younger than 18 playing DDR. It’s mostly adults who play the game nowadays. I have been playing ddr since I was 8 years old but I didn’t really get into it until this mid 2025. If you know anyone who is around my age and plays this game it would be cool if we could be in contact. If not, i guess i’m just a newgen trying to fit the “y2k” vibes or something. (My uncle actually said this, apparently young people can’t play old games? To be fair, he has AAA’d max300 back in his days so no disrespect to him LOL)

There aren't many videos of people under 15 playing DDR or similar games, but I suspect that some OG veteran players (around 30–35+ years old) who are already parents have introduced their kids to these kinds of games. At least that's the case in my country; on TikTok, I see live streams of 8–10-year-olds playing ITG and Pump It Up frequently.

Maybe
Many people play osu!mania because it is more active and social. Also, they are difficult to access SM, Ett, and FFR at the beginning. But if you wanna improve your skill, you should better go to osu!mania, then can know deeper about mania community. Many famous mapper in osu!mania also active in SM, Ett, and FFR. We also know many players master in mania are younger than 16. And I am also under 18 years old Last edited by ZaC35712; 03-22-2026 at 05:21 AM.. |

Just now I find a comment under his video said he was already playing O2Jam back in 2016, his nickname in O2Jam should be sasa123, and he maybe had the strength of Lv53. So I think he may have been active in old mania community before 9 years old. |
