Welcome to FFR Survivor, where there can only be one winner who gets the entire credit jackpot. In this tournament you will be answering questions and doing tasks mostly related to FFR in some way, and even a D1 player can win this tournament. It is specifically designed to allow some creativity so it's not just straight up playing FFR The Game. You may also need to do some searching around the site, make a few videos, and engage in conversations. It's like a scavenger hunt with more flavor added to it.


Round Structure/Start Date/Signups

This tournament will have 4 rounds, each lasting a week. Every round consists of a variety of questions and tasks for the user to complete, and some require creativity.

Signups will be open until Sunday, June 1st. I'm planning on starting the tournament the day after on Monday (June 2nd). This is still tentative.


Some Basic Rules

1.) Don't cheat. If you have someone else finding the answers to the questions for you or doing other tasks for you, you will be disqualified.

2.) You can provide some feedback on rounds provided you give sound reasoning and do so in a reasonable manner. Take issues to the tournament hosts.

3.) There is a panel of judges that will determine how each player is doing so far. Nobody gets eliminated until Round 4 where one winner is decided. (In other words, performance in this tournament is cumulative)

4.) Show respect to all participants, as well the host. Any disqualification of a player requires a discussion by the panel of judges, so no one judge has an imbalance of power.

5.) If you are on the judge panel, you cannot be a participant of this tournament.


Submitting Answers

For questions, you will need to send answers to all questions by the end of the round in a text file over some messenger (e.g. Skype) or answers in a private message, not one by one. If you happen to find an answer that's great, but wait until you have answered as many as possible and then submit all your answers before the end of the round.

For pictures, videos, and audio, since these files can be big or there are several of them they should be put in a zip file or uploaded online (e.g. mediafire, dropbox, whatever). Do not transfer huge files over skype or other instant messengers.

Submit answers to me or a judge on the judge panel by Private Message or some other form of communication; just don't post the answers publicly. As for things like videos and other creative tasks, those can be publicly posted.

Also, don't try to fudge through the rounds. If you somehow happen to find a loophole in a question or task, it can be disregarded in your submission. Again, this is decided by the panel of judges. Searching around the internet is allowed and expected for this tournament as well.

As stated earlier, there is only one winner for this tournament and performance is cumulative from all rounds and determined by a panel of judges.

Currently the spreadsheets are organized as follows:

- Gray filling means a task has not been completed yet.
- Green filling indicates a successful completion of a task.
- Orange filling indicates an attempt at a task, but it needs significant improvement to be passable.
- Purple filling is reserved for the questions. Answers to questions will be assessed at the end of the round, then changed to either red or green depending if the answer given was correct.

ROUND 1

- Get a video or screen recording with audio of you singing along to Pink Fluffy Unicorns Dancing on Rainbows (Punk version also acceptable). NOTE: Audio recording for this is fine as well.
- Get a video or screen recording with audio of you doing a dramatic reading of the 9th official tournament last round post. NOTE: Audio recording for this is fine as well.
- Nag a D6 or D7 player for credits. If you don't get any credits, get evidence that you asked at least 3 players. You may use this to determine D6/D7 players.
- Present a lame joke to an administrator on FFR. Give proof of this as well (e.g. comment wall, skype conversation, whatever)
- Find 3 users on the site with an anime avatar and post "anime avatar" on that user's wall (bonus if one of them is oldCaartoon). Of course, provide evidence of this.
- Either post a topic in Critical Thinking or post a constructive reply to an already existing Critical Thinking topic.
- Post a score with 1 good on any difficulty 90+ file.
* - Back in the day before omgdidinsane's (ODI) forums were upgraded in 2009, a screen of smiley faces would appear with a toilet bowl in the center of the screen with floating text saying you were banned. What song played on this screen? (Hint: Look in Rebound Dump Collection Megapack)

- Post something [humorously] mean on my wall within reason (bonus points if the first letters of each your words match up with my very first account name exactly in order)
- Step a song with generic 16th streams in it. Step them entirely as 8th jumps with no 16ths. Play your file on video or screen recording.
- Give me a suggestion for a video to include in ITG Scream Compilation 3.
- Create the body for an ingame FFR character in MS Paint (these characters are the ones that show up in the character selection tab ingame).
- Get a video of yourself getting a mashed FC on any file, and then get a lower score with better accuracy and at least one miss. (these must be passes)
* - In my 4th MiniMegaTournament of Brutality, what was the misscount you'd end up with if you missed all the fast jacks but hit everything else in the Dead End Side Game?

- Write a short story to a song by Nero's Day At Disneyland (or Lauren Bousfield). If someone else happens to write a story to the same song, that's fine.
- Write about why you are clearly better than everyone else.
* - Back in the avmiss days, Grand Galop Chromatique had 37 2-frame jacks. Does it have any now?
* - Back in the day there was an administrator whose username was 3 in length. Who was this?
* - Is the current ingame file of Revolutionary Etude in legacy the same as the original? If not, how do they differ?
* - Who was the person that originally called me a vibrating ******? (Hint: have you been on a stepmania wiki before?)
* - Who was the person that originally said Isaac vibrated like fuc on a windows 98 pos keyboard? (Hint: Look back in 2008)

- Simulate poor teaching in computer science.
Note: No programming experience is needed for this. Everything can be written in English.
1) Write sloppy pseudocode for a function "watdafuctemp" that accepts values "watdafuc" and "temp" as parameters, and it returns value "wat" by doing something with those two parameters.
2) Some arbitrary function you make uses a variable named "tempobjvar". Give three useless sentences about what you are doing with tempobjvar in this function.
3) Write sloppy pseudocode that adds two numbers, then multiplies the sum by two. Use bogus variable names and write stupid comments.
4) Write down an unreasonable assignment to give to a student. Think of a possible question the student would ask, and it's something you cannot help with because you don't even have a working program for the assignment and you haven't tried it yourself. Give a condescending reply to this student.
