                          Wow, someone had told me that she died and I didn't believe them, then I see it here and went to actually look it up. That's so sad, may she rest in peace.

                                              she was a great singer and even though i dont listen to her music very much she was a huge influence on a bunch of singers to whom i do listen. Rest in peace

                                                      I thought it was unexpected too, but upon hearing more about Houston, supposedly she was going through big drug problems, especially late in her career, and a lot of people "saw it coming". I guess we'll see after more details are revealed
