I am not really happy about this. Sure insane FGO songs will be easier to FC and stuff but now things that everyone has worked for really hard are going to be a breeze. The legendary Crowdpleaser will be nothing more than a regular difficult song to AAA. GGC and OMW will just be annoying to FC but many will accomplish it. It has its pros and cons but I for one am not so excited about this.

I'm with EA, Tera and Sprite on this.

R1 is R1. Avemisses have been a part of the game since it was created. Removing them takes the luster away from AAA'ing jacktackular songs like X-Dreamer and Turbulence. And in essence creates an entirely new (and easier) game.

I'm all for including the fix in Third style, But I'd prefer to leave R1 the way it is. To be honest, I'm surprised Synth is allowing these "Fixes" Due to how much he was against fixing Chrono and Synestetic.

This is kind of a good news/bad news thing for me. While I think it will be an epic leap in skill jumps for a lot of people and really make the game a lot less frustrating, it will also mean the addition of songs that are full of WTFJACKLOLZ just because now we can. Jacks are never fun and rarely belong in a song that's filled with them....And now that avemisses are gone, jacks are just going to be abused right to hell in some upcoming files.

As for people complaining about "But what about all the people that got good scores before the fix."....IMHO, that's too damn bad. Welcome to the world of updates and bug fixes. While yes, they should get some bragging rights in the future ("Pfft, I did that song back when it was actually hard!") it doesn't warrant any kind of special treatment concerning the listing of high scores.

Funny you mention that because the song queue had been recently closed due to an overwhelming amount of files, but as of last night - like literally as I posted this thread, Rebirth opened the queue back up for 'FMO/FGO+' songs only. They're planning on having a whole week of FGO-like releases.

It'll be interesting to see how that turns out, and what kind of files come out of that because there are already a ton of steppers jumping all over the opportunity, i.e. SulferDragon, stargroup, bluguerrilla even Rebirth will probably step something. I also can't imagine hi19 missing the fun either.

With avmisses gone I hope the timing window will be slightly stricter in 3rd Style, or non-combo's added. Otherwise mashing will be ridiculously easy.

A lot of FMO's and FGO's are going to get downgraded. Stuff like Runny Morning, Turkish March, Sympathizer, Vertex Beta, Balloon Fever, and Piano Etude are going to be easy as hell for good players, like they are in stepmania. Finally, we can get real files in the game and stepartists won't be limited to 6 different patterns that all have to avoid jacks. I can't wait to see what people do when stuff like Disregard comes in with 300bpm streams and craps all over people

Oh yeah, that means I'm happy. Anyone who says this is a bad thing sounds like my grandparents bitching about how they had to walk uphill both ways to school 18 miles in blizzards for 9 months of the year, and how it's just TOO easy now with cars and four wheel drive. I hope you realize this will give FFR players legitimacy in the SM world, because now that there isn't the terrible glaring glitch of avmisses. I'm also sure you'll see some really good players coming to FFR and wrecking stuff all over the place... that would be pretty funny.

Even with av-misses gone, the crowdpleaser trill will still be hard. 120 bpm 64th trills aren't that easy xD All songs will be the same difficulty to play, just no missing glitch. Av-misses make it difficult sure, but difficult because it's a glitch. The song files are actually just as tough WITHOUT av-misses imo.

They may either re-rate the song's difficulties.. OR just add new difficulties for songs that will be MUCH MORE difficult.
