It's always the one who barely stayed escaped suspension who makes the contribution when it counts (ex. Nathan Horton. Game 6 vs. Tampa, could've gotten suspended, but didn't. Game 7, he scores the only goal).
And with the second fastest overtime goal in Stanley Cup Final history, Alex Burrows completes a 3 point night with a VERY quick overtime winner by beating out an over-aggressive Tim Thomas, and a lazy Zdeno Chara.
Fun-fact: When Boston is down 2-0 in a series, they're 1-26 in the series. However, that one came just this year vs. Montreal. Don't count your chickens just yet.
Fun-fact 2: Both of Boston goal-scorers are the only two Boston players from BC. Lucic is from Vancouver, while Recchi hails from Kelowna. Also, Recchi's goal made him the oldest player to score in a Stanley Cup Final.Life is simply unfair... Don't you think?Comment
