Tomorrow night, childhood dreams will come true. Only two players on both teams combined have lifted Lord Stanley's Cup before, but whoever wins, we will have the second European-born captain on a championship team, the first being Nicklas Lidstrom for the Red Wings in 2008. If Vancouver takes it, Rogers Arena might as well be hallowed ground after Canada defeated Team USA for the gold medal in men's and women's ice hockey the previous year in the same place. There is historical precedent for a Canadian team winning the Cup the year after a Canada-hosted Olympics, as well.

One thing's for sure: Shit just got REAL.

I still can't believe how the hit on Raymond just got waved off by the refs.
He got his back broken for crying out loud.

From my perspective, it looked like Boychuk deliberately held Raymond between his legs in that position until he hit the board, mind you it was a late hit on top of that. Initially, Raymond did unconsciously slide into his legs, but keeping him there was just unnecessary. Also, how come Rome gets ejected and Boychuk doesn't? Hmm...

From Boston perspective, it was a 'hard, but clean hit' and nothing could have been done to avoid that since Raymond kept himself in that position.

Anyways, point is Raymond is out for 4-6 months.

Damnit NHL officials, do something about hockey -__-

yeah I was pretty upset at that. though in boychuk's defense, it was a pretty awkward play and probably couldn't have been avoided at that point
