not neccessarily true. think about it this way:

my ma is good, and i can hit decently fast 16ths for a while. so i should be able to SDP quasar 1.3, right? no. no matter how good your ma is, if the song is too fast, you cant keep it up. ma requires control, and when your muscles start hurting you cant control them. same thing for chris, on a smaller scale. he can do 16ths at 180 ok, but not for long periods of time, his control breaks down. in a month or less he'll improve to that level though.

and nima: i had AA on emerald for a LONG time. i couldnt get rid of those last two greats. but yeah, it was a damn high AA...

You know, reading over this post again I glazed over a crucial fact. Dan has a warped view of time. I started INDEX in january (maybe late december), I actually started SM in mid November and SM was practically ALL I did over X-mas break. This held true through March, whenever I had some free time (after classes, homework, and hanging out with random folk around the dorms), I played SM. My playtime is gonna shrink to nearly nothing once I convert all my ~SDPs into AAAAs, if I can pull it off. This is my list of SDPs/near SDPs (I don't SS all of them, I just take a mental note that im close to the AAAA on x song).

I've played it like once in the month, take into consideration. Also, another key fact that's been hazed over, i WHORE songs like, worse than Duk. I will literally sit and play a song 20-30 times in a row until I get a score I like. That's another reason why my MA is so good but I'm still a terrible player, I don't have the will to do that on really tough songs that I can't keep up with.
