This is the very beginning of mine and Jared's first book of our Lucy Robinson mystery series! I hope you enjoy and I'm open for some constructive criticism as well :)


Chapter 1


"But mom, I don't want to move!" cried a very disappointed Lucy Robinson, "I have friends here!"
"But you'll make new friends in Colorado Springs Luce." said a calm Rachel Robinson. Lucy's father, Peter Robinson, had been offered a great job at the Colorado Springs Police Department and couldn't pass it up. As a child, it was always Peter's dream to be a cop and to join the Colorado Springs Police force. Now his dreams were finally coming true. As Peter entered the room, Lucy sent him a scowl of anger and disgust.
" I'm sorry Luce but I think it'll be a great opportunity for us. I just want to give you the life I never had."
" Thanks for caring and all Dad. I'll go but don't expect me to like it or anything." With a chuckle, Peter gave Lucy a hug that made it hard for her not to smile. The family joined together for a big breakfast before going their own separate ways for the day. Lucy was a sixteen year old senior at Saint Matthew's High in California. She was supposed to be a sophomore but she proved to be smart enough to skip up to her senior year. Her parents didn't hesitate to tell her how proud they were of her when they found out. Lucy gave her mother and baby brother, James-Matthew, a kiss and headed out the door to head to school. Lucy entered her pink Volkswagen Beetle, started the ignition, pulled out of the driveway, and headed westward towards Saint Matthew's.

Well here's the news I know you all have been anticipating: Jared and I have finally compromised and have finally set a date for our second wedding!!!! :D We have decided on the weekend of May 11th and 12th :) We have decided that it is most likely going to be on the 12th but if we want to have a late night reception then it will be the 11th and will carry on until the early hours of the 12th :)

Well by the looks of things, I'll be working 3 jobs. I'm working 3 jobs to do something my "father" hasn't enough balls to do and that is to support my family and myself! It's pretty sad when a child has to do the job of her father but I'm proud to do it! I'm sick of seeing them go without because my "father" hasn't paid but 20 dollars of child support in 6 years. They deserve better than that garbage and that's why I work my 3 jobs, to help them out so they don't have to wonder where their next meal will come from, so they won't have to go without the things they need most in life, and so they can live a happy life for once! I'd lay down all my spare time if it means helping out the ones that mean the most to me! And people wonder why I say my dad is dead when they ask about him :/

♥ I just wanted to stop by and tell you how much you really mean to me ♥ This seminar totally made me look at the way I've been to you lately and it needs to stop. As mom said, Yea I'll miss you no matter what but I need to be able to function while letting you live your life. I'm going to start that now. Welcome to the new normal baby ♥ I love you more than you'll ever know and I'm going to start showing it more and more just by doing the little things and I'm going to stop fighting about the petty things and I'm going to trust you more and stop being so insecure in this relationship. It's a give and take ordeal and it's about teamwork and I'll make sure my side of this eternal team, becomes more team oriented ♥ It's no longer about me but more about you because you mean more to me than myself ♥ Your feelings mean more to me than my own. I'm done being the old selfish girl I was before, I'm starting anew and I'm going to be the better and more considerate girl that you deserve ♥ I love you baby forever and always sweetie ♥ Thank you for going up to the front of the stage with me and for praying for this relationship and for making a new commitment to make it a eternal lasting relationship ♥ Thank you for sticking by me even when I don't deserve it. Thank you for loving me for me and accepting me problems and all. And most of all, thank you for always being there for me through thick and thin ♥ You're the best thing that has ever happened to me and I'll spend forever proving that to you because I appreciate and love you and I have since day one. I've loved you even when I only wanted us to be friends only. I fell in love with you and I regret nothing ♥ You're my best friend and the love of my life and you mean the World to me ♥ I love you to the moon and back baby ♥,
