New Tier Point system in progress
Over the years, the Tier Point system has been revised many times in an effort to make it more accurate and more fair. There is still work to be done, though, especially in tracking the skills of more casual players. But now, a group of dedicated FFR users have started working on the end-all version, fixing all of the problems of the old one! And they want YOU to get involved!
Long-time FFR players i love you, qqwref, and DossarLX have come together to work on the perfect Tier Point system. It will remove most of the incentive to mash, track all the skill levels from FCing Difficult files to AAAing For Gurus Only ones, and be as fair as possible. They want the community to help tell them which 7-10 difficulty songs should be included into this new system! Further details will be explained in the community section of this thread.

this is a really good idea seeing that only really good players were able to obtain some if not most of the tier points for 10 difficulties and up

@wargasm1: We’d actually love to do this, but combo scoring ruins it. The combo is so much more important than PA right now, so lots of people have mashed scores with good combo but bad PA, and they can’t improve them without getting at least that much combo. So going based on the PA in your best score would be really unfair to those people, since they’d be getting fewer points than they deserve.

I’m not entirely sure what I am supposed to do to contribute! I would like to say, however, that I have troubles getting AAA scores because my computer lags like crazy (even with the workarounds) because it’s an old piece of garbage XD Therefore, full-combo type deals would be more suited to what I can possibly do. As for difficulty, it would be nice to see some simpler difficulty 10 songs such as Life Light or Dot Matrix hero be worth something to do well on.

I liked the idea of having 8s and 9s on the Tier List, and disliked the current 11-12 only list.
I had thought that the old and current lists should be combined.

@stev019: Go to the community section and download those two files. From there, you should open it on notepad and from there, it will tell you what to do. Hope this helps!
