Important Subscriber Information
Hello,
It is critical that you read this announcement, as this concerns current and prospective FFR subscribers. As of today, and until further notice, the ability to subscribe to FFR via our forum payments system has been put on hold.
If you no longer wish to support FFR, you will need to login to paypal and cancel your recurring subscription.
If you are not a subscriber but would like to contribute to the site, please hold on to your money. Our main focus is to get everything running to our (and your!) satisfaction.
If you are a current subscriber or gift subbed user that had an active subscription while we were down, please contact Devonin, Sprite-, or myself so that we can properly adjust your account in the meantime.
LD EDIT: If you were a subscriber, and your subscription expired during the downtime, your subscription should now be restored with the appropriate amount of time added to your sub. If there are any problems, please contact me directly ONLY if your sub expired during the downtime. Thanks – LD

What happens to those who lost their subby during the time FFR was down? Will they their subscription back? I didn’t have one, just figured I’d ask though.

We will have something in place for the people who have been or were subbies during the down time. Unfortunately it fell upon the individual to cancel their subscription manually through paypal since we cannot cancel it for you. That is the way it works with paypal. Rardless, we are going to do the right thing and replace the lost time with something very worthwhile. We are still deciding on what that will be but have already formed some ideas of our own. If anyone has suggestions, let loose. We are all ears.

People that got a gift subscription need not worry about money as they’re, after all, only “gift” subscriptions. However, both recurring and gift subscribers are equally important, and we also have logs of manual subscription entries (i.e. what happens when we set up a gift subscription) so they’ll be taken care of as well.

This makes me wonder, advanced levelrank stats and other previously subbie-only features are going to become standard for everyone? I can’t imagine you’d let the game run without having this feature accessible.
Again, great work guys, keep it up.
And in the way of replacing lost time/reimbursing previous subs with something, what are the current ideas so that we can speculate/build on them?
Lastly, will the support tokens/album purchases still be available?

I always just wondered, since you don’t want to go for a whole corporate view with FFR and have it just strictly for fun, why now just have the subscriber features free to everyone? Just make it something that comes with a normal account?

^ This. vRofl would be nice as it is unattainable any other way aside from official tournaments. But it’s a dump, not needed for gameplay.

I myself am still a subscriber, and did lose my subby time over the crash. Although personally I didn’t subscribe to FFR for any reason other than to support it, because I liked the game enough to do so. My subscription will renew itself and I’ll once again donate a bit to help out FFR, which is again why I subbed in the first place.
If you do want to do something though, I think it should be in relation do why most people subscribed in the first place, the game. What better way to do that by hosting a nice “welcome back FFR” style tournament! I seen a couple posts regarding a tournament, and I definitely support the idea.

Well i think something should take its place, cuz theirs features that subs give i wouldn’t want to lost, i cant imagine it all being free, it’d be awesome but idk. I kinda want subbies back, it wasn’t even that costly.

Make sure your speedmod ends with a 0 or 5…such as 1.60 or 1.65

any idea why, when i try to play, it plays the song but when i press the arrows it just gives me boo’s… every time no matter what. i have never had this problem in the years i played…any solutions? anyone else have this problem?

I want to subscribe. Didn’t you guys used to wave around the subscribe sign everywhere? Maybe I can’t see it because I’m on an iPhone or maybe becAuse you’re updates are everywhere right now. Pretty much, I want to subscribe regardless of the condition of the site because I should have subbed right when they came out. FFR has always been my community and where I go on the internet.
