At the Dunder Mifflin Paper Company, the Scranton branch is beginning to face a serious issue which could end the company permanently. Recently, one worker a day has been quitting - a trend which never even appeared to be a problem before. Dwight is the only person who realizes how this came about so abruptly; the recent people hired weren't working for the company, but actually against, and in their attempts to destroy the Scranton branch, they are trying to take out the workers one by one. Now down to only 17 people, the people loyal to Dunder Mifflin are taking action into their own hands. Michael's solution is just to give motivational speeches to all of the workers as a whole, but the next day, another person decides to quit. With only 16 workers left, it's apparent that the only way to stop this from continuing, is to stop the people causing it.
"Group meeting everyone!," exclaimed Michael with a tone of urgency. "I have been informed, that there are certain people in this room that have been working against Dunder Mifflin."
"Who might those people be?" Phyllis asked.
"Well.. that's a great question Phyllis, who would those people you're working with be?"
Phyllis responded, in some sense of alertness, "Michael, you know I've been working for this company even before I was married."
"Oh ... you're married? Well, I wish the best to the both of you, but it looks a little too late for your husband. Anyways, I would like to inform you all that from now on, everyone will have to prove their worth. For example, Stanley, how exactly are you benefiting the company through those crosswords of yours?"
"Michael, this is ridiculous."
"Stanley, just answer the question!"
"I only buy crosswords made with our paper products."
"Well if you actually did some work, you could have more paper to do crosswords with. And on that note, the group meeting is over. Just know that everyone is under suspicion."
