      I hear gamers in Japan have been seeking out the American names for Pokemon and don't mind trading really good ones for really crappy ones, just so long as they get the names.

      They can't type English in their version just like we can't type Japanese in ours, but when you transfer, the name stays.

      I might play it someday. Someday when I'm not so bogged down with schoolwork / job work / other games.

          I heard that too, but it's kinda a lie.

          For one thing, you can type in English characters in the Japanese game. I played it when it was released in Japan. There is a limit of only 5 characters, however.

          Second, I searched online trading today. Yeah, a large majority of the players in there are Japanese. It was totally awesome, but fact is, tons of people request retarded trades like a crappy or mediocre Pokemon for a legendary or lv. 100 rare... and you can only access the top few in the list at a time (no searching through the entire database of people requesting trades, sadly).

          I wouldn't be surprised if Japanese players did like American Pokemon, though. I was super excited to get a Japanese Pikachu. XD I also saw a couple from the UK, but I didn't have what they requested in order to get them.

                  Every Japanese guy and his daughter wants to get a Level 100 Palkia/Dialga/Garchomp. I got a Level 42 female Infernape from some Japanese guy for an Onix that I randomly caught at Victory Road. I doubt he needed it, considering that he started playing the game in November.

                  Also, I've gotten to the fourth member of the Elite Four, but I haven't beaten it yet.

                                              Tofu's already gotten the National Dex (you get it after beating the Elite 4 and seeing every Pokemon in the Sinnoh dex), so we're whoring out our GBA cartriges with Pal Park and breeding like crazy. She has two full boxes of Eevees if anyone wants one >__>

                                              I sadly can't access wi-fi on campus, so I have to go elsewhere in order to use it, but it's entirely possible to do so.

                                                  Lol, I beat the elite four AND got the national dex on Sunday. I'm breeding Squirtles and Eeves right now.

                                                          I like to attach mail to the Pokemon when I trade it, but so far no one has done the same for me. =(

                                                          Also... I'm pretty sure there is another Pokemon duplication trick in the game. That's probably how people manage to give really high level ones. :/

                                                          I wish people nicknamed their Pokemon more often. I nickname all of mine, but almost every Japanese Pokemon I've seen is just left named its Japanese name. I want something cool D:

                                                          The most annoying thing though is that you can only search for or request Pokemon you have seen before in your dex. Most of the Pokemon you're going to want are going to be ones you haven't seen... I have no idea how you see a Mew or similar legendary in order to ask for it.
