haha what song is that? Really freakin' gayyy haha..
Oh ya, so guitar is a lot harder than guitar hero, like at least 3 times harder probably even more because I'm not even close to knowing all the basics...
It took me less than 5 minutes to learn to tap TTFAF never having tapped before. 2 tries on slowest, then like 2 on slow and then I could FC it every time.
This is the easiest section ever to tap. I don't know why people have trouble with it. For the record I just use left hand: hold green, middle finger hits red, Right hand: index yellow, middle blue ring orange, and I do an elbow strum. You just hold green and then tap red+elbow strum at the same time and you're good to go. It's so slow with 2 hands, and there's no difficult transitions like in jordan...I don't see what the problem could possibly be D:
I just can't throw my hand up there without looking at the fret buttons, so I had to memorize some of the patterns, first. Then it took me a while to come up with the way you said. I don't really wanna elbow strum, either. The actual tapping part is cake. I just kept hitting the first few notes with normal fret fingers too slow while not looking at the screen, so it too me a long time to figure out what I was doing wrong.
Don't understand why so many people struggle with this. It's a piece of cake aside from the lag and that I didn't use the most optimal path. D: The strumming isn't fast at all. I think most people are strumming too fast or something. I know that was my problem before...just slowing down led to the fc.
Like 560k on One too. Could probably get it up to 580+ correcting my mistakes since I had 97%.
Still no luck with TTFAF though D: This is officially my weakest song apparently, even though I've played it quite a bit. Breaking 500k is so ****ing difficult.
I agree it's not nearly as hard as people make it out to be. In my first 5 tries of the song I got a -7 where like 5 of them were from lag.
lag is terrible on it that's all
and I hear you on TTFAF. I got it 5*'d barely after whoring it 5-10 times but I have no ****ing clue how all these baddies with no other half decent scores get 600k+ on it.
god I want to play GH again, why'd my gutiars have to be fags and break.
Also, anyone who can play customs, check out my BB Revenge custom on SH here:
I noticed there are a lot of people with nice 5* scores on TTFAF who don't seem better than me. I don't know, I just can't do it. The strum sections are really easy but all of the solo stuff is so unbelievably fast... it's incredibly hard to keep combo.
After careful analysis I noticed that my technique is wrong in some places. That is, I can hold notes down I'm currently not holding down to make the solos easier to play, but it's going to take awhile to get used to playing like this. Especially since there is very little practice with fast solos on GH3. I was wondering how the **** several of the patterns in TTFAF are even possible given I play piano and have fast hands to begin with...but then I realized holding down specific notes makes it much easier.
I also just realized what the guy a few pages was talking about with regards to the notes indicating where you strum during solos. Rofl. Although this hasn't helped any of my scores yet, it is convenient, since I was clearly strumming a lot when it was unnecessary on a couple songs.
It didn't break per se, but the green AND yellow buttons stick down for 10 seconds when pressed. It's impossible to play with it, I fail the Lou battle before the solos when I can literally play it with my eyes closed and get to the solo every time normally.
I also have another guitar with a completely busted whammy bar, it's locked in my dorm at school. I'll wind up using that I guess, although I can't go for good scores without a whammy bar, just FC's really.
I've really considering buying PS2 Rock Band JUST for the Strat to replace my old broken SG's...=(

first time comming here
your all better than me from what ive seen D:
I felt so pro moving both my hands up to the neck in the beginning and nailing it xD
I realized I would move my fingers to fast for that part, so I slowed down a bit, and this happened.
This was the first time I ever passed the beginning part.
hopefully I can pass this soon, although the ending is the crazy part pretty much =/
I've been improving fast as hell since I actually started caring about getting good at this.

I have a warranty for my guitar, but I have a feeling that since I have it I'll never have to use it lmao.
I still play with the classic red SG one I got from Gh2. My cousin has the wireless controller but I wasn't a big fan, especially on harder songs where everything went all weird.
PS gg whammy bar I forget to use it so much. This might partially explain why my fcs are never very good score wise. I'll often pass on whamming when the holds are short because I find it awkward. That and typically they're lazy whammies.
I'm also probably the only good player that tilts regularly instead of hitting select. I've gotten pretty good at it, since I find it much more reliable in GH3 than in GH2 (got sick of holding up the guitar and getting absolutely no activation on six oh my god) but my activation is often suboptimal because of it.
And welcome TeRa. ;o gl with passing that son of a bitch.
There are some top top players who also tilt. All of them whammy a ton though (sometimes on nonSP which I don't understand but whatever), you should start doing that rofl
