I got 94% on it now, but the run was like 630. I think I'm losing most of my points during the first half, and then bad sp usage during the second half. I'll get it up to 700 on day D:

I would assume you're losing most of your % in the hard solos. Your rock meter was in the dumps there a few times. It is rare that mine is anything other than maxed out during the solos, but you fc'd a lot of parts I usually miss on D:

Yeah I noticed that, I almost failed a couple times in that vid lmao. I try to hit everything without strumming HOPO notes so whenever I miss I lose massive meter and %, basically >_>

Also -1 choked Take This Life FC TWICE. Once less than 100 notes from the end. **** that song.

Getting better at TTFAF intro.
I can do the finger-tap/elbow-strum technique on Slow. I can do Rubber band technique on Slow. Hopefully I can get it down soon. I'll be watching videos to see when to use star power.

This song is getting old.

If you're not satisfied with the disc replacement thing from Activision, they've added another option.

Return the game for a full refund.

Here's the funny part. I could totally do it now that I'm pretty much done with the game. I'd get a full $90 refund on a game I paid $74 for. And since it's rare that I'd ever play it again, it's totally worth it.

If only I weren't so damn lazy.

edit: scratch that, the refund is for $132.

Hell, I could get Rock Band instead. Then when the instruments break there, I can get free games from EA.

Someone asked for advice on Raining Blood. I thought I already posted it in here, but I guess I'll copypaste it over again.



"On Mosh1 (the first hard part, with the rolls), there aren't breaks betweens rolls.

So it's

B,Y,R,G,O,B,Y,R on most parts. After practicing a lot, I was finally able to do this, but I still died. Later I realized that I was becoming off-beat because of a yellow strum arrow at the beginning of every couple of rolls.

So just try to stay on beat. Go ahead and get star power before this part, but don't use it here unless you need to. You might need star power towards the end.


The green gallop notes.

Instead of playing Dut--Dut--Dut Dut--Dut--Dut I've found you can play triplets in it's place, because of the pause. Try Dut-Dut-Dut-Dut-Dut-Dut.

The end of the song will have insanely fast trills. My advice is to hit as many notes as possible before and after the trills, and use star power if it's available. On the actual trills, I recommend sliding your index and middle fingers to the notes and just going as fast as you possibly can. Also keep your strum bar handy.


Hope that helps, because that really all I have to offer. Practice a lot, but takes breaks and play other songs unless you're just really close. A couple of times I was 2 notes away from the end.

i beat TTFaF with 385k and i only did that ONCE without tapping or cheating

mosh 1 on raining blood is really easy for me....i usually get like 96% on it i guess its just me xD

all i need to do is practice the damn intro for TTFaF i can fc it on slow using my pinky but damn full speed TO HELL


also what i find usful when practicing songs is to have it at 4x the speed and play it on slow makes everything WAY easier

I wish you could speed up songs in practice. That's how I get good at actual music. Once I get decent, I play it fast as hell until I get decent at that. Then when I go back to normal tempo, it's easy.
