Election: I think Romney/Ryan are ridiculous. Not only are they fundamentally dishonest (to hilarious degrees), but their "plans," or what they've revealed so far, are just more of the same-old trickle-down snakeoil. I could respond to this question with much more detail but I'll just say that I definitely think Obama's going to win a second term.
Artists: I don't really use iTunes, but I'd probably say Above and Beyond, Dash Berlin, Paul van Dyk, Armin van Buuren, etc.
Weather: Summers are pretty humid here. I've been on the east coast for almost a decade now, and I'm *still* not fully used to the weather. It just takes time, I guess. Allergies can suck too (this year I will probably get the shot because pills just aren't effective for me). Winters are wicked cold, but I love it (it gives me an excuse to dress up a bit).
Adult Swim bumps: I don't know what these are. I wish Toonami was back, though.
In 10 years: If there's anything I've learned, it's that SO much can change in 10 years. 10 years ago was September 2002. I was starting Sophomore year of high school... I couldn't have possibly predicted how things would have turned out. I imagine the same applies going forward. Ideally, I'd like to be married (possibly with a child), happily employed and enjoying life, and with a few goals achieved. My CTS has actually, for the most part, gone away. My right wrist still tweaks from time to time, but it's gotten a lot better.
However, I probably wouldn't have it in me to keep going with either cubing or keyboard rhythm gaming. I've already spent far too many years on both.
Cubing is boring to me now and I have zero interest in picking it back up again. I felt like once I hit the lower teens in speedsolving, improvements became more reliant on lucky runs/skipped steps/or just learning a shitload more algorithms, which felt more tedious than skill-based.
Stuff like Stepmania is always fun, but I think the lack of good stepcharts over the past few years is a huge turnoff. Files just aren't what they used to be. Too many BRRRTTTBRRRTT-BRR-t-t-t hypergrind dumps and not enough fun, well-stepped charts to enjoyable music. I don't enjoy feeling like I'm just playing variants of MIHC all day. Files don't have to be difficult to be awesome. Badlands, for instance, is one of my all-time favorite files and it's relatively easy MA fodder.Comment

Metaphorically speaking, Would you agree or disagree that being awake or alive in general involves code computed energy under laws space/time working incomposite to the actual sense of being 'alive' which by nature would require sleep to access dreams. In other words, wouldn't life to death just be an example of dreaming just to wake up? Tell me what you think!

3x3x3: I wanna say like 11-12 seconds or so? Blindfolded, 45 seconds memorization + execution.
2x2x2 I almost rarely messed around with and don't remember any of my times.
I think poetry is cool because it's so inherently multifaceted, much like, say, literature or film. It can have a variety of intentions and goals, and many methods of expression.
I like poetry that doesn't try too hard to be obfuscatory nonsense. Oftentimes, I see a poem get a reputation of being "deep" when it's really just indistinguishable from a few vague, bullshitty statements tossed together.
Instead, I prefer poems that focus on enhancing its message through the sound of the language/words used. I'm more of a "surface-level aesthetics" guy when it comes to poetry, since I think the whole "make a poem about something deep and meaningful" side tends to be obnoxious. Almost everyone I've met who focuses on the latter category tend to be those annoying philosophy nuts who are really just solipsists in disguise. Descartes can go **** himself.
Right now? Breaking Bad, hands down. It's very well-written and the characters are masterfully-crafted. Cranston is amazing.
I made a special effort to find work that has reasonable hours. I place a huge premium on having free time. Nowadays, it doesn't require much effort to balance the two, unlike college.Last edited by devonin; 09-17-2012, 07:51 AM.Comment

Hmmm, hard to choose just one. I enjoy talking to a lot of people for a variety of different reasons. Overall I think I spend the most time talking to guys like Reach, darkshark, Halogen, leonid, Tasselfoot, plus a lot of the guys who used to go on Kong regularly, etc -- but there are too many to mention honestly.
